1) all my coordinates are in Degree Decimal Minutes, do i need to convert them to Degree decimal?
2) i am using a MacBook, will the same link for link for Icon tab work there as well?

1) I believe you will have to switch to degree decimal. I haven't found a way to change the coordinate settings.
2) It should work its a link to an image that Google Earth already has for icons

You also might have named a couple of fields wrong. Earth has a very specific upload format and doesn't read files correctly.

You need to convert your coordinations from UTM to degree cause google earth only works with degree coordinations
