in ds2 for sure greatswords
I use greatswords more, but greataxes are cooler
Greatswords almost always have better scaling overall and especially the Greatsword FUGS have way better scaling + movesets
Both, Greataxe, then Ultra greatswords, then Greatswords

Throwing a vote out there, could you try the curved nil greatsword? Literally NEVER seen a vid dedicated to it, it’s weirdly unique and imo curved greatswords are peak in all souls games (nice vid by the way)

I think based on things I've heard out and about that Giant Lord is supposedly the Last Giant, you just beat it so bad that it i dunno loses its clothes and sword or maybe they're lost to time, and also why it specifically is angry at the player, and angry enough to tear off a limb to hit you at that.

great video. fun fact the bandit great axe used to make all great weapons like the grym great axe swingreally fast when duel wield in the og non patched version. it was a oversight or animation bug whatever you want to call it. probably the reason why people wanted you to try the bandit great axe.

Hi your vids actually made me go back to ds2. I have a tip for you about twin pursuers, you can cheese one of them to despawn and leave the one that drops the ring. You simply need to walk in the arena and while the left one starts attacking, leave and quickly go back.

Have you ever tried the Shield Hero Build?
Using Summons to deal damage while powerstancing great shields and wearing the red eye ring. Pure defence and cheese build, poison set and old sun ring to deal with mobs then completing NPC quests to get them avalible tor the boss fights.

Maybe an added difficulty for one run you could try would be to try a Dark Souls 2 1.0 patch run; so non-SotFS item/enemy placements and no DLC. Having to switch up the usual strategies could be interesting imo

you need to try blue flames is so good you do 1000 damage without even using sacred oath and red tearstone ring and leave it with no infusions because it comes with magic damage so use RoB+2 flynns ring sorsery clutch ring and third dragon ring or red tearstone ring for glass cannon then apply crystal magic weapon to both of weapons and use sacred oath and the damage is super high

no death no bonfire you definitely want a durable weapon such as the mace or bandit axe, if you want you can even get the santier's spear and break it to have the cool moveset and not have to worry about the durability!
