Best channel on RUclips, these videos have helped immensely since my own ETS from the Army in 2021. Thank you, Urban Valor, there are many veterans alive today and finding their way back to purpose, healing, and meaningful living because of these testimonies… I’m forever grateful to both the veterans and the creator of the channel.
As a tech for one of the east coast SEAL Teams, I totally understand his frustration, I always knew I was there to support the operators, and yeah it was cool to say I was at the team, but you better always follow it up with, but I am not a team guy. As a Department Head I saw a lot of the politics, a lot of the BS. You have to be tough to survive in that environment, I could never do their job, but I was damn proud to know that I did my job to the best of my ability to ensure the operators could do their job.
Reading David Goggin's book and hearing the stories made me realize just how much the human body can take just as long as there's a pulse and a never quitting mind.
@@RokU5It isn’t because he didn’t want to, it was just due to timing just like a lot of the last generation of SEAL’s before the GWOT were during peace time too and didn’t see much combat.
@@James_Edward59he did a deployment to Iraq in early GWOT. There is still plenty of SOF guys like Chadd Wright that were there for most of Iraq and Afghanistan and only went to Africa, Asia, or South America.
Bro your training stories are crazy! That's some intestinal fortitude like most people can't comprehend. Thank you for sharing your story. It helped me. Your a SEAL through and through for life you earned every bit of recognition.
I lnow of one Seal in my entire 31 year old life. My wifes younger brother (Cecil Comadol). While he was in he said it was the best time of his life, when he retired he said it was the worst tome of his enitre life.
@josuerodriguez12b this would have been in the early 2000s, and he said bc they don't teach you how to get back out into the world. While he was serving, everything was scheduled. The stress of having free time is what wore on him.
Mike ritland has said some of the best hazing/new guy stories ive heard lol getting hog tied naked, hot sauce on the twig & giggle berries and some electro shock therapy on the hot sauce etc 😂 also gettin duct taped naked left in a area, hung up etc lol the good ol days
I personally knocked down 81 in a minute in multiple law enforcement agencies AND in military PRT… I don’t know how you could knock down 90 in a minute but who knows
@@CaioFerreira-zm4ee Good lord brother, that is impressive!! 81!! You must have done some serious training and prep for that. Even to achieve one legit push up per second and get 60 is a cranking pace. I had to chuckle when he said 90...he could have been hallucinating if it was during Hell week I guess?
What a journey & story, have never heard anyone from the seal teams say that k bar with a fallen team guys name on it & doing all that from any seal currently in or out doing social media/podcasts etc. He lucked out as a new guy with schools ... sniper, then dog handler then breacher ive also never heard anyone doing them back to back or getting them at all period, very cool & impressive accomplishments. It seems the seals, green berets, rangers, pjs & combat controllers, swick boat guys, coast guards special forces/mission teams, marsoc raiders & marine force reconnaissance guys and delta and devgru guys all want to get a chance to attend sniper, halo, dive, dog handler & breacher are the schools that everyone wants and typically goes to the senior guys who are have wanted them.
Great story and great man, bit of advice though....Easy on those regular navy guys that as you said "didn't have the balls to go to buds". Not all of us desired that lifestyle but still wanted to serve. Thank you for your service...Go Navy Beat Army!
I think he was talking about all of the grimy miserable a$$ mothereffers in the fleet. The army has the same types, you got some real miserable scumbags in the military.
Are their levels in the seals ? Because it’s seems , even after you get in there are studs that can do what they want and guys that made it but just bearly .
when i saw the thumbnail saying " these guys were covered in shit" I thought for sure he was talking about a Man love Thursday scene in some remote wadi in Afghanistan
Where I come from? Bro some reason I question everything that was said and when he said where I come from I knew he spins the truth. Bro you said you went to a small private school and now you’re acting like your about that life?
Being cold, hungry, and exhausted still gives me a visceral reaction. It really seperates people that can set it aside despite the misery, and those that can't. One of the saddest things you can see is a grown man, thats waited and worked for years, and gets completely wrecked without a person touching them. Just cold wet and sleep deprived.
Being an operator like you were is completely different from big military. SEALS MARSOC AFSOC RANGERS DELTA all need supported at a higher level than regular troops. The kinder gentler troops have their feelings hurt if you fart in their general direction
He probably didn't like all the mind games which some people have no tolerance. Imagine getting a set of orders to be in a combat zone them being told to go home when you arrive? The to add insult to injury he gets blamed when he's back stateside. Where were they to back up his orders? Stupid games.

I went to high school with John. Always was a Solid Dude. Thank you for your service.
That's awesome
One of the best videos I’ve seen! This guy is the epitome of never quitting or giving up on your dream job!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate that. 🙏🏼
@ No,problem, it was really a great video! No bull shit straight forward!
Gotta say, there are a lot of seal stories. This is the best I’ve heard.

Badass narrative: those that want to be a SEAL must listen to this:
This is absolutely the best SEAL interview I have heard, thank you for telling your story
Thanks for watching, appreciate the support 🙏
I can absolutely respect the dedication, just to go through that many hell weeks to get something you really want is pretty crazy but inspiring.
By far the BEST Team Guy story I’ve ever heard
Love your story, I joined the navy in my junior year. Single mom household and got a year of college while in. Ultimately became a lawyer
If I was to tell someone what a SEAL was that had no idea but had general knowledge of the world I’d just say they’re Viking surfers😂
What a narrative… incredible lesson of endurance & motivation
Appreciate you checking it out!
You can tell this guy was hard to get along with. But tough as nails.

Didn't know Zakk Wylde was a vet. Cool 👍🎸🤘
lmao thought the same thing 😂😂😂
Both are scary dudes if you're opposing them on the battlefield
Right lol. I had to Google it to be sure. Turns out he wasn't of course but his Daddy was a WW2 Normandy vet 💯💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is a good episode. I think Johnny on Cleared Hot or Mike Drop would be two awesome podcast.
Reading David Goggin's book and hearing the stories made me realize just how much the human body can take just as long as there's a pulse and a never quitting mind.
Goggins: all training, no game.
@RokU5 he's gone on deployments just not combat deployments as far as I know

Meanwhile there are stories of people dying of rabdomylosis. Goggins has mental health issues and takes it out on himself.
Phenomenal grit and determination!!

My dude looks like a kick ass rob zombie 😂 all jokes man thank you for serving our country
HELL WEEK is just a TRAINING PHASE.
What really counts are the Operations that you run once you get the Trident.
Well shit man if they’d all it I’d then what’s your class number
@@E3742OWas that English? Honest question.
Hell Week is not a Phase, it’s just one small part towards the end of 1st phase. Then you still have 2nd and 3rd phase or evolution.
It's one "long day" out of 6 months. I've heard seals refer to buds as kindergarten.
The videos are better this way. Love your channel
Appreciate the support 🤙🏼
Always happy to hear about fellow Marylanders making it.
Great video. Awesome attitude. Thank you for your service. 🙏
Much appreciated

Man I always wished I would have at least attempted BUDS. I was a deck ape for 4 years 1990-1994.
Lmao the spoon of puke part 😂😂😂😂
Hell yea!!
What a wild story man. You're a tough son of a bitch dude. I'm in awe of men with your conviction
Brother, when you start that tactical company, please let me know!
I went to bootcamp in 2016 had a mental health thing in 2019. I messed up and let my personal things get personal
Last experience Sounds typical

Amazing episode man, your hard as fuck! The irony of doing hell week 3 times but quitting on a burrito 😅

He earned to the right to complain. What a joke
That don't matter now!
Thanks for the support, brother! 🙏

That’s over 30%. Always thought the Seals ran about a 16%-18% graduation rate?
I think he said 36 finished hell week - that was from the initial 250 or so he estimated started at day one......
