  • In 2009 we created the Ego Caravan Mover.
Our aim at the time was to create the most powerful and energy efficient mover that had ever been made.
We started with a blank sheet of paper.
We bespoke designed the motors and the gearbox to get the sweet-spot we wanted, and when we tested it against the competition we realised that eureka moment when we blew the competition away!
Not only did we achieve more power, we had a motor that used half the energy that some of the biggest names in the business were managing. Meaning you could go twice the distance on our motors than theirs on a typical battery.
    So What Next?...
So What have we achieved since 2009? Well, the Ego is now sold in Australia and America, where the typical caravan weighs over 3 and a half tons. We have Quattro switchable electronics for any type of caravan, single twin and quad. We sell in Africa, Israel and nearly all corners of the earth - so what’s next for the Ego story?
    Weight...
Weight has become more and more of an issue with caravanners, and it’s something we have addressed with our Nemesis Ultra wheel clamp, so what can we do with a mover?
We looked at every part of our mover, and thought, how can we drive the weight down whilst retaining optimum performance?
Firstly we reduced the weight from the rollers and housing, whilst retaining strength.
Then, we changed the engagement to a lever engage saving further weight.
We used a box section crossbar instead of an oblong crossbar, which is both stronger and more ridged, enabling us to reduce the wall thickness. We managed to half the weight of this part alone!
We finally removed anything unnecessary, including the plastic housing.
    The Ego Titanium...
All these small changes added up to the EgoTitanium, which is up to 25% lighter than other leading movers. This can be a weight saving of 10kg, which is the carry-on luggage of most airlines and as much as 10% of your personal caravan payload.
If you save weight, you save energy, which means less fuel and strain on your caravan, which mean’s it’ll last longer. But ultimately it means you can carry more of the things you really need for your holiday.
The Ego Titanium is not just a mover, it’s an obsession.
