30 solid seconds of foot check, followed by fluff, cuteness, and sunny feathers. Thank you for drowning out the dreariness of the current world for a few minutes. It is needed, and appreciated. ❤️☀️
Watching Comet, Tusa, Jinx and all the other macaws when they’re flying. Whole new meaning to kite tail. Just gorgeous. I’d like to see a flock of them flying
I loved the vid. That said, I am an avian behavioralist, and new research indicates that birds who stare at their feet are _actually_ trying to communicate that they are being mistreated. In this case, the foot staring was of a longer duration than most, which is how exotic parrots like Macaws communicate that their owners are very good at concealing the abuse, and that despite outward appearances, their allegations of neglect should be taken seriously. It’s either that, or the bird could be trying to communicate that they need to poop soon.
Why wonder? I bet finding their lost brother or sister wouldnt be too hard. Youd get relief knowing and a family reunion for sure would be super cool to see.
Hi Jamieleigh I have been a fan of you and your husband since I wanted a parrot and that was about 4 years back and I just want to say that thanks because you and your husband gave me allot of advise and I finally got a parrot. Thanks Allot ❤️
Once I have practice with birds I might think about getting a rescue blue macaw but that won’t be for a very long time. So I am vicariously living through yours!
It’s fantastic the way you let Capri be with and respect the birds. So many families who don’t own birds as a profession will just straight up rehome a bird if it doesn’t work out the first time with a kid instead of teaching the kid and the bird to respect and be respected
"Hes definitly the easiest to get distracted" then precedes to check out the feet again 😂😂😂 love all the personalities including you guys lol binge watching again don't mine me
JamieLeigh, I love your videos-- they have helped me sooooo much with my corella cockatoo Maui Lynn. Thank you ♡♡♡ Btw, Maui gets REALLY EXCITED when I play one of your videos lol. She has come to anticipate a training session after them, and she LOVES when your birds make any noise lol. She always says, "Hello!" To you when the videos play lol!!
So glad you did a video with Comet, he's such a beautiful McCaw with striking colors. When you were describing how to tell Comet and Tusa apart from the back, it works well. I've always wondered why some birds are fascinated with their feet, but then I think they look so different from the rest of their body, so why not, lol. He's healthy and Happy and Content, can't ask for more.
You’re so experienced!!!i think you should really try to get a Hyacinth Macaw!!!he/she would have so much fun with you!!!you are so maxing with birds!!!i really admire your relationship!!!!
Now that I’ve seen a macaw in real life they look so tiny. I always thought they were much bigger until I saw one at a bird rescue. Still love them tho!
When Jamieleigh sat down and said to Comet, you foot checking? I thought she said fact checking and maybe he is. Maybe he is in fact checking that Jamieleigh is correct when she said his feet are still there. He's just being a team player :)
😂😍 such a funny sweetie oh my god ... love that it makes you laugh every time he is foot checking 🤣 “still there? .... oh wait have to me sure.,.. let’s check the other one real intense” 😂
I think he has through unintentional positive reinforcement learned that he often gets some kind of reaction or attention if he bows down his head, which has increased the frequency of it occurring. But it’s super cute!!!
When my Cocatiel Annie does foot checking she is actually asking to be help with head feathers or just to be scratched on her head - and actually she get demanding to be scratched and few times correct me to scratch her as she prefers, it’s more adorable think ever, it almost like appreciation from her point of view
You know...I had been noticing a serious lack of foot check content recently, and then this video came a long and I realized that Comet was just saving it all for his interview haha! Thanks for sharing another slice of Bird life. It's really cool getting these little 1 on 1 sessions with all your feathered family members :D
Is the foot check really asking for head scratches and cuddles? Just love the video and knowing more about Comet. Also, could you ever ask the person that retired where the third baby went?
Ok so I know you've probably thought of this and you are so wayyyy more experienced than I could ever be-- but my corella started doing "prolonged foot checks" last year kinda out of the blue. For a couple days I didn't think anything of it, checked her feet, no problems, so I left her be. She kept doing it, so I wanted to look once more fully. I ended up finding the tiniest of splinters on the underside of one of her feet, so small I would've never seen or felt it otherwise. It wasn't inflamed or anything. I believe it was from a wooden perch she had gnawed on. Now I sand down every natural wood perch and check them by running my hand across them every so often.
Hahah, my green cheek does foot checks. I didn’t know it was a thing, but my thinking was that he’s always checking out the different textures and surfaces he’s standing on. 😆
I have never seen a yellow Macaw! Beautiful! I'm terrified of birds. Tips on getting over a fear? I know the damage they can do with their beaks (and probably talons too).
30 solid seconds of foot check, followed by fluff, cuteness, and sunny feathers. Thank you for drowning out the dreariness of the current world for a few minutes. It is needed, and appreciated. ❤️☀️
I thought he was praying, lol!
I think he is signing you to pick him up☺️
Love this cutie. Glad his feet are still there 😳❤️
It's good to confirm.
No one:
Comet every 5 seconds: Mwh
Lol
I like how Jamie giggles every time their birds do something cute/adorable
Sending love💕💕
I agree! You can tell she really loves and cares for her pandemonium
“Brb mum , just checking my feet”... “yep buddy they are still there ! “This is my new favourite Comet video. He’s so adorable I just can’t.... 😍
Being quirky takes talent. Comet checking for your foot & your rollovers makes us happy we can't contain are smiles. Thanks for sharing him Jamie.
That " foot staring" is such a funny thing he does, it looks so cute. Also to me his face looks still like a young cchick, witch is cute. 😁🇳🇱
Watching Comet, Tusa, Jinx and all the other macaws when they’re flying. Whole new meaning to kite tail. Just gorgeous. I’d like to see a flock of them flying
Haha he has to quadruple check they are still there because he likes to walk so much more than flying.
Thanks for the "special features" on the individual birds! Love your content!
His foot checks are just so endearing!!! I have one of your T-shirts with Comet on it that says "be where your feet are," I love it!!
Comets cutest trick is definitely a roll!!! 😍
Comet checking if his feet are still there never gets old ❤ sweet boy!
just pick up my sun conure baby yesterday! ik they are loud but my family and i don’t mind. i love comet and his foot checks :)
Omg i LOOOVEEEE conuressss i wish you the best of luck with it!
same i love the wonderful colours of a sun conure good luck!
How is your sun conure? I just got my third parrot, a Catalina macaw!
I never realized how big that bird is :-O His beak is almost half the size of your face?!?!?!
He would tuck and drop...hmm that sounds like a certain object falling from the sky ... ☄️ 💫! Just wanted to live up to his name! 🤣🥰
Hahahaha he asks like you've completely interrupted him when you talk to him while he's doing a foot check
I love comet!!! he is so cutee, i think i fell for him on the video with morgan where he would run from one spot to the other lol
Bless. Needed this. I call “foot checking” “you found your toes?” Lol
8:27 he was just looking at the pictures heheh... he has been doing this for a while though, so cute😍

My bird loves to "foot check' and does it all the time. Too cute! :)
Why wonder? I bet finding their lost brother or sister wouldnt be too hard. Youd get relief knowing and a family reunion for sure would be super cool to see.
"Tuck, drop, cling on." this reminds me of leaving your bff even if you'll see each other the next day.
Hi Jamieleigh I have been a fan of you and your husband since I wanted a parrot and that was about 4 years back and I just want to say that thanks because you and your husband gave me allot of advise and I finally got a parrot. Thanks Allot ❤️

He is beyond beautiful creature.
Comet is so cute. I have watched this video a couple times now just for some giggles. His foot checking is so adorable and cute.
Have you ever tried to find the other one? It would be a cool to know what happened to their sibling☺️
Comet belongs on Wiki feet for Parrotts. He has some good looking ones....or at least he thinks so.
It’s fantastic the way you let Capri be with and respect the birds. So many families who don’t own birds as a profession will just straight up rehome a bird if it doesn’t work out the first time with a kid instead of teaching the kid and the bird to respect and be respected
He is so pretty, and I have never another macaw even close to his colors.
He's a smart beautiful boy! 😊🕊💛💚🧡💙
That's Admiral Comet contemplating his naval . . . . . responsibilities.
"Hes definitly the easiest to get distracted" then precedes to check out the feet again 😂😂😂 love all the personalities including you guys lol binge watching again don't mine me
Congratulations on 200k birdtricks!! I joined at 175k and I'm so sorry for myself that I wasn't there earlier! ♥️♥️♥️
I'm new to seing Comets behavious and that is just the funniest thing !!! Tcheking if his feet are still there ? I coudin't stop smiling XD
I think it's really cute that he keeps checking his feet. Beautiful bird!
How do you tell the difference between a foot-check and him putting his head down for scritches? 😊💖
Yeah, that looked like he wanted you to scratch his head to me. Seemed really insistent about it too.
If he was to beg for head scratches, his head/neck feathers would fluff up.
His foot checks are super cute 😍😂
All the foot checks!! Yay Comet!
He is so beautiful!
That's funny about Comet and his foot-checking habit. Maybe there's a Bird Recovery Program for that!
I love comet, he’s such a cutie. Love that he checks to see if his feet are still there, it’s his cute little quirk
I absolutely love comet and Tusa. Also congrats for for reaching 200k subscribers
Edit:now you’ve got 201k. Congrats.
You have a beautiful relationship with Comet.
I love his colors. I love seeing all your birds. My cockatiel, Peanut, just died a month ago at 29 and 8 months. I miss her a lot.
You don't understand he has to count his toes too. He is adorable💗🌷🌸💐🌻🌼🌺❤
Comet is the cutest giant sun conure ever
JamieLeigh, I love your videos-- they have helped me sooooo much with my corella cockatoo Maui Lynn. Thank you ♡♡♡

“Quadruple check your feet are still there” 😂😂😂
WHo else thinks his foot checks are the cutest thing in the universe!!!

Interesting speculation.
"Why don't my feet have feathers?"
Congratulations on 200 K subscribers! Happy to be a part of this group supporting your mission to save one bird at the time ❤️
My cockatiel also started staring at his feet recently lol. It's pretty funny.

SWEEET Comet boy, he got fancy feet
He is so beautiful and I love the sounds he keeps making.
I love this boi so much, im happy that his feet are okay, he takes good care of them 😶😶
Now that I’ve seen a macaw in real life they look so tiny. I always thought they were much bigger until I saw one at a bird rescue. Still love them tho!
They are rather large in my opinion! Especially hyacinths.
Comet’s the Rain Man of macaws 🦜
When Jamieleigh sat down and said to Comet, you foot checking? I thought she said fact checking and maybe he is. Maybe he is in fact checking that Jamieleigh is correct when she said his feet are still there. He's just being a team player :)

He's such a beautiful bird
He is so adorable 😍
I think he has through unintentional positive reinforcement learned that he often gets some kind of reaction or attention if he bows down his head, which has increased the frequency of it occurring. But it’s super cute!!!
That is crazy. My first parrot was a scarlet macaw from Mirror Lake Exotics. How cool.
Congratulations on hittting 200k keep doing what youre doing
He's so cute, I just love him.
I love him!!! So cute!
These are my favorite shows, where you profile your birds!
IT LOOKS LIKE A FUCKING FRUIT ROLL UP I LOVE IT OMGGG

My Caique love's her feet rubbing. X
Your eyes are like the parrot eyes ❤
Glad Comet still has his feet! : )
He is adorable!! Do think it is a submissive act for a head scratch, instead of a foot check?
Yay, congrats on 200 k subs!!! :) Precisely 200 000 as I write this (checked in socialblade) Comet is such a cutie, foot checks and all :) :) :)
So cute! I love the foot check. Sorry I didn’t count how many in this video but I love it! Jamie, you’re the best!
Longest parrot foot CHECK, tik tok lol hahahha
I would love a macaw they are such beautiful birds.

Comet is awesome bird. I think he looks at his feet to get attention or he pouting for something. It could be quite few things.
I think it feels good when he stretches his neck. “It’s a neck stretch” IMHO
He seems camera shy. lol
Hahah, my green cheek does foot checks. I didn’t know it was a thing, but my thinking was that he’s always checking out the different textures and surfaces he’s standing on. 😆
I love the foot check!❤️
I have never seen a yellow Macaw! Beautiful! I'm terrified of birds. Tips on getting over a fear? I know the damage they can do with their beaks (and probably talons too).
Comet is Soo cute. Lots of love to comet from India 😍😍
HAPPY 200K!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ love y’all
Comet is my favorite
