I'm only in 6 minutes in but this is a goldmine of little tips and tricks! Thanks. Recently, I've realised the art of making modern music is actually making clear-headed, rational decisions and having a refined methodical process! (Not just a n ear for good hooks and beats)

I love the result you got out of that bass sample. Really nice texture and it sounds great in the track. I've got to start trying some of these less conventional methods for lead sounds 👍🏼

    Hey, great video.
Question, why do you choose the filter to cut low end and not the eq8 or eq3?

  • @MickyplaysProgressiveHouse

21:48 it's really confusing that there is an arp there for which the on/off button is automated, when is it activated and when not, what's the use of it in combination with the beat repeat??? You did not explain it. If there is something i really hate, it's when things are explained partially, not step by step, not everyone is a Hernan Cattaneo of music production, there are beginners as well. The video is good, there are a lot of valuable information, but some things are not explained fully in a step by step manner so that beginners can hear how each effect in a chain effects the end sound.

One really stupid thing is that you can't adjust the fade curve directly in the simpler. in 2023!!!! Very annoying....

Melodies are the natural enemy of good techno.
