Hi Jordan, Johnny Bench is First Cousin to My Best friend Paula that has been my BFF for the Last 57 years. 😊❤
Good morning, Jordan and Jah. Thank you for this visit. :)
Thank you for this one! My grandmother is from Binger and this just made me feel a little bit closer to her. It really made my day.
I'm glad you held over to go to this museum. I knew you would enjoy it! Thanks for sharing more of Oklahoma!
You are 1 amazing young man. I hope you know how much you mean to the ones of us who can't get out. I look forward to your vlogs. Thank you for letting me see the world again. ❤
Thanks for sharing! Spent many summers at Riverfront watching Johnny and the Big Red Machine!
Thanks very much for sharing for all of us Reds fans and baseball nuts. If I never get a chance to go in person your vlog is great !!
A home run blog.
Enjoyed it a lot.
Just wanted you to know that I love watching your vlogs. Had surgery today just got to watch this one. Good luck in all of your adventures and Travels! And love your doggy to jaw I have a little buddy named Maui. Unconditionally love from our fur babys.
Johnny is a true icon...my family grew up in Binger, and I still got cousins there. Some of my older cousins knew Johnny and his family. Binger holds a special place in my heart, and I know it does in Johnny's
I remember Johnny Bench and The Big Red Machine teams. Great ball player.
Jordan, thank you so much. Been watching you for a long time. This one is my favorite ever. Incredible. Lifelong Reds fan as well. Got to see Johnny play starting in 1975 my first Reds game through 83. He was never the same according to him after lung surgery following the 1972 season. But even so he was still the best catcher in the league 73 till the end.
I have met Johnny got a photo with him . He was great. His oldest son Bobbie used to set up at a card show I always attended in Sharonville. He was super nice looked like a LBer. Big guy. Sorry for rambling. Thank you so much.
I have loved Johnny Bench since I was in grade school. Thank you for this tour!
That was an awesome museum! So many excellent artifacts. You covered a lot in this vlog! Thank you! 😁
JB is my favorite player! I was a catcher like him! Thank you so much for going here!
Hi Thank you for sharing this video I love all of your videos have a wonderful day ☀️🌴
Thanks Jordan I didn't know I was interested in Johnny Bench until I saw this and heard you explaining the items. Thank You! Be Safe and God Bless from Tammy in PA
Fabulous vlog. Love Johnny Bench
I loved it! I'm from Oklahoma, been to Binger alot have relatives there .Love Johnny Bench too😀 Nice little town and nice people and they are very proud of Johnny Bench😀thank you I enjoyed it
Nice vlog Jordan! Johnny Bench was a great person and one of the greatest catcher of all time! He definitely gave it all he had.
Thanks Jordan I love baseball. I am from Detroit and grew up loving both the Reds and the Tigers. Both the Reds and the Tigers both had one of the best Baseball Managers with Sparky.
What a treat! I know your Grandpa was over the moon on this video choice. 😊❤️
This Okie is loving your Oklahoma tour! ⚡TCB
I remember the big red machine. Johnny Bench was a great player and seemed like a truly nice man.
Jordan Does OKLAHOMA! Yaaaaaahooooo ! Thx !!!!! 🤠!
Johnny Bench undoubtedly the best all around catcher. Great vlog of a great player
was a JB fan growing up...I played catcher because my mom bought me a JB catchers mitt instead of a regular baseball glove when I played little league...haha...cool video
Your grandma had a wall in the kitchen where she put up pictures of Johnny Bench. She loved Johnny Bench.
Thank you Jordan for sharing this awesome video and I enjoy it so much and yes we got another clip of jah.
Loved Johnny and I love this vlog. Thank you, Jordan❤
A scene from the movie, Rainman was filmed at the General Store you showed. It was the scene with Charlie and Raymond in the phone booth. Of course the phone booth was just for the movie.
I remember those RC pop cans with the Reds players on them. It was a good time to be a Reds fan in the mid 70’s.
My first dog after I got married was named Bench, 1973. Nothing like the "Big Red Machine"!
Loved this video. I grew up in Indianapolis so a big Reds fan back in Johnny Bench days. We had gone to a few games growing up. My mom was a big fan of Johnny's also. Always a Reds game on TV. Thanks for this video, Jordan
Wonderful tribute to Johnny Bench. I wish Darla Hood's community had honored her as much or half as much.
Fabulous vlog! Love those small towns that honor their native sons. Thanks Jordan.
Enjoyed this. A friend of mine pastors a Church in Binger. Thanks!
Never was a big sports fan, but I know who Johnny Bench is. Always neat to find out someone's humble beginnings, and to see how much of an impact he made on his small town. Knowing that a celebrity called your town home is pretty exciting, also lets kids know that they have a chance at making it big if they want. The small town I live in was once home to Emmett Kelley and they have quite a collection of him here. I hear they are bringing back the Emmett Kelley days, can't wait to attend. Great video as always, love seeing Jah, hope he is feeling better.
This is an amazing museum.. Great vlog Jordan.
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing!
As I lifelong Reds fan & resident of northern ky I want to thank u for this video. Go Reds & want to say Bench is without a doubt the best catcher to ever play.
Cubs not drafting Johnny Bench. No wonder the Cubs went 108 years without success. I was a big fan of Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. So cool to see all of Johnny's memorabilia. Excellent vlog thank you for showing us.
Bench playing at wrigley field probably 450 hrs easy
What a great presentation. Thanks!
I’m a Cubs fan nowadays but when I was a kid I was a big Reds fan. I loved the big Red machine. I’ve got a few of those RC cans from back then too.
Great video! I didn’t know there was a Johnny Bench museum. It’s on my bucket list to go. I grew up right by Wrigley Field but was a fan of The Big Red Machine.
I’m from here
Great Vlog Jordan Love learning about great Baseball Players As a kid remember watching & learning about baseball from "The Baseball Bunch" show & Jah Lazy boy lol
I just enjoy all you do , very interesting vlog. not much of a baseball fan, all is cool and enjoyed it thanks Jordn safe day and Jah to
One of your best videos. Thanks
Another wonderful vlog Jordan. I remember when my Dodgers played them in the 70s against the Big Red Machine and there were games no matter what they threw at them" The Dodgers" just could not win or lose to them going into the playoffs. Especially the 1975 WS with Boston.
My favorite player of all time. Really cool 👍🏻😎
Enjoyed this despite not a huge fan of the game. I liked learning about Johnny though and you always make it so interesting. Safe travels!
Great vlog.
Very enjoyable
I'm from the UK and baseball is not so popular.. I had heard of Johnny Bench though.A great sporting hero Indeed.
I'm a Cubs fan. Another sad story where they could have had a phenomenal player.
Loved it Thank you
Wow. How interesting!!
I loved watching Johnny play. He was one of the reasons I wanted to play. Unfortunately I was a girl and back then girls weren't allowed to play. My Dad was a little league coach so I could practice with the boys but not play in the games.
I have family there nice to see you there who would of thought !!
The general store at the beginning of your vlog is where the fart in the phone booth scene in the movie “Rainman” was filmed. North of there a few miles is where the mother and the kids lived where Raymond insisted in watching The People’s Court. My parents grew up in Binger and knew Johnny Bench.
Hi Jordan i'm a newer fan of your channel enjoying watching you very much.I'm a diehard baseball fan like yourself,i'm a huge Detroit Tigers fan.I got to see former Reds manager Sparky Anderson manage my tigers for many games. My 2nd MLB game was your Reds At My 2nd fav team the then Expos in Montreal. The game was in 1983 and was hoping to see Johnny Bench who was still playing with Cincinnati in what was his last ever season, unfortunately for me he wasn't in the starting lineup.Ironically in my 1st mlb game in Detroit the prior year Detroit was hosting Boston and i'd hopped to see Carl Yastrzemski in his last season. You guessed it,he was not in the lineup that day.
I goofed about Carl Yastrzemski his last season was 1983 like Johnny Bench. :)
That was great. I hope your grandpa liked the video. Too bad he couldn’t join you and Jah on this journey.
He texted me and said it was fantastic
@@DazewithJordantheLion I so glad. I figured he would love it. I hope he’s doing well. Thanks again Jordan.
Really nice vlog Jordan, Johnny bench, baseball legend ,its great when a boyhood Town pay homage to 1 of their own like that, respect,.Even if that old petrol station looked something out of wrong turn the movie ,haha, just kidding, got to respect a bit of history still standing. 👍
Big Red Machine, best team ever
Great video Jordan
a class of 21 would work for me when I got out of high school we, at the time, had the biggest graduating class of my school, about 100 kids. I know now days kids would laugh at that one
I love Baseball,played myself was a short stop as a young girl.Great memories.Until next time Jordan &Jah.
Hi Jordan your hat looks like the Major League Movie logo your hat looks really cool I love your hat my friend. JEREMY JOHNSON FROM WILMINGTON DELAWARE
Hi Jordan GREAT JOB WITH YOUR VIDEOS MY FRIEND. JEREMY JOHNSON FROM WILMINGTON DELAWARE
My Dad used to call Johnny Bench "Johnny Thief"! My guess was Johnny was known for stealing bases.
Hi, Jordan! Just wondering if you go back to Oklahoma (my home), could you visit Leon Russell’s home in Tulsa? He was a very private person.
That's my home town lol that old gas station you stopped and looked at was also the filming location of the movie Rainman if I'm correct
Very cool!
Love it! When I was 8 years old my grandfather took me bowling and in walks Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. My most exciting days of my childhood. No one in school believed me the next day. Recently I found out they owned that bowling alley together. Thanks Jordan.
Thanks, as a baseball fan in Canada, I enjoyed this. Why not visit the Canadian Baseball Museum, just rennovated, near Stratford, Ontario (and the Stratford Festival) for a vlog? Cheers, David
Because it's in canada
@@DazewithJordantheLion I get it, but we would welcome you with open arms!
That gas station was in Rainman
Hi Jordan, wow, that general store at the start reminded me of the one in the 'The Waltons'. How kind of that friend to buy all the items from the Auction House and donate them back to Johnny. Some great pieces of memorabilia in that Museum. Great vlog Jordan.
Hey Jordan, what's your intro song? Is there a significance to why you use it? Been curious for years and never heard you mention it. Also, what's the origin of the nickname The Lion? Thanks for the great videos!
in a way getting rid of them before he died was a smart idea. 65 was the year my late oldest brother got out of high school
I live el Reno Oklahoma
Watched Johnny. Bench play some while growing up. Always really liked him. Like his museum and the way everything is displayed. Love his suit he wore when he was inducted in the hall of fame. Thank you Jordan for sharing this with us. Always love the cameos appearance of Jah. God bless
My favorite Red where was your Cincinnati Red hat lol⚾️
I don't wear it when traveling. Causes less conversation, and less problems
Another great vlog Jordan Love watching your channel. I'm actually a big football fan, never have watched a whole lot of baseball but I still find these kinds of vlogs very interesting. It's amazing to actually get to watch you vlog theses famous people's home towns. I live maybe 20 miles from the hometown of Dan Blocker who most people know as Hoss Cartwright on Bonanza. His hometown has a museum that is very interesting and I have also been to his final resting place. Steve from visiting gravesites with Steve has been there. But you probably already know that since yall are friends.
💋Have a great March Jordan and Jah! You are really getting some good mid-west vlogs in. Safe travels and looking forward to seeing where you go next. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
Man wish you could came south could a showed ya around lol I'm close to ft Smith ark along the state border could have should you some places Jesse James and Belle star hid out lol
I travel to the places that I want to vlog
Jordan out of the Park! Amazing job, love your efforts! I have never seen a vlog yet that hasn't been a tremendous adventure! They are all so amazing! Appreciate it Ty .Luv&Peace ✌
👌🇺🇸
Thankyou Jordan and Jah , for making⚾️ Johnny Bench⚾️ story he was an incredible man and baseball ⚾️ legend recognised world wide. The museum is incredible , fantastic collection he achieved throughout his and in his home town . Let's hope the home he grew up in will one day be the part of the museum 🤞.
No I hated the reds back then, especially Pete Rose the hit King. Not because of who they were as people as much as they were beating my teams in the world series! LOL I mean Johnny bench, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Cesar Geronimo and Ken Griffey Sr? That's just flat not fair!
Johnny Bench one of the best all around catchers to play baseball. Bench is known to have held 7 baseballs in one hand. I have a picture of Bench, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez along with a Cinn. Reds baseball cap in my sports den.
