Ample China Dongxiao (ACDX) - Wind in the Valley

Here's a short demo track I composed for Ample Sound's new dongxiao VSTi. Once again huge thanks to Ample for giving me the chance to work with another top notch virtual instrument.

You know, I realize I am quite late on this video but I wish I had seen it sooner. I love how I can just close my eyes, listen, and receive a wave of goosebumps over and over as the track progresses deeper. Phenomenal job. This plugin is amazing, but it takes an artist to make it come alive.

Thanks! Matter of taste really but I slightly prefer the sound of the dadi, plus its range extends lower so it's a bit more versatile.

I don't have a mac but on windows you need to run both the library installer (the audio samples) and the other installer for the plugin itself. Then authorize it with the iLok license manager.

Glad you liked it! Most of the expression comes from CC11 (expression) and modwheel vibrato (CC1). Then a few keyswitched articulations here and there as well as high velocity notes for those "grace notes"
