Мечта детства - экскаватор с управлением хотя бы по проводам. Гидравлику делал из капельниц, авторучек, антенн, ручек от мебели. Сделал прямую стрелу и ковш, работало! но трёх квадратных батареек хватало на десять минут.

You would want all hydraulic cylinders in their compressed state. Oops sorry I forgot wouldn't make any difference which way they're extended. Because like I said I remembered about my hydraulics training there's oil on both sides so it wouldn't matter one way or the other where they were at. If there's a hose at both ends of the cylinders is dual action (sorry don't remember the correct term) like a dump truck it only pushes the ram up or put. it doesn't pull the ram back down it uses gravity for that

You should retract all cylinders to remove as much fluid as possible when changing fluid
