- Hanging by a thread, an embroidery and silk screening company in Queens, NY is about to close its doors forever after the owner has bitten off more than he can chew. Three years ago, Sal Loretta moved his small business, Artistic Stitch, into a massive 28,000 square foot warehouse. To make use of the space, Sal started several new businesses and borrowed beyond his means to build out the entire building. Now Sal's $1.5 million in debt and way over his head. Can Marcus throw him a line before the company completely unravels?

In the longer version of this Marcus put a lot of money into the business. This is almost like an alternate script.
and the only way he would do that is because the very thing that he accused them of doing, is the same model that he can ride out and benefit from, if push comes to shove.

Artistic Stitch looks like a money laundering joint. Someone should look into them.
What I don’t understand is if the whole point was a real estate ploy, why even invite Marcus who’s persona (at least online/publicly) is to invest in small businesses to make the most money long term?

It appears this business is still open. I'm surprised the landlord didn't go after him for back rent. At this point Sal must own the building unless he had to refinance or renegotiate his agreement because he was so far behind in his rent.
I wonder if Sal lives in a mini-mansion or has fancy cars. If he's in debt, he can make more sacrifices instead of trying to run four very different things at once.

Marcus tried to save face here and I don't like what he did to these two men. It was underhanded and escape-goaty. He is allowed a few mistakes like anyone but this - it was tacky, low brow reframing and putting words in the mouth of the business owner. Neither - were doing a long range building cash out sale. That was all Marcus finding a loop hole out so he could make an excuse to not invest.
They could have closed their business and still make money back or gold him to a deal where the building profits had to be paid to Marcus in order to satisfy the loan bail out.
He did invest in the end tho
