This Real Madrid team played some great football for most of that season...at one stage they were about 13 points out front in la liga..in copa del rey final..and going well in CL. Then came that baffling and historic collapse at the end of the season and nothing was won :( But they played some brilliant football...with Beckham as a deep lying playmaker hitting some gorgeous diagonal balls to Zizou out left...as seen in build up to Carlos' goal here or Zizou's ingenious volley against Valladolid that season :)
7:30 - This is one of the reasons I admire this man even though I'm a huge Iniesta fan. Pressed by three players in a dangerous situation that could lead to a counter attack. Almost 8 out of 10 people would struggle in this situation and choose to either clear the ball or play safest pass but players like Zidane, Iniesta always think steps ahead of any other and always keep their calm and have total faith in their abilities. This is what defines a great player imo
I wish idiots who disrespect him nowdays watch him i can't believe the desrespct he is get, of course he shines with his national team and make history for them but he also was fucken amazing with madrid and juve with different systems, what a fucken legend i can watch him all the day really
The best season for Los Galaticos in the history of Real Madrid, I really remained confused how the Monaco team eliminated them from the semi-finals of the Champions League that season. I was very sad, especially since it was the last season for many players such as Cambiasso, Walter Samuel and Claude Makelele. Unfortunately, football has always been difficult in the past and unfair due to many laws and an exaggerated defensive way of playing, UEFA also supported the priority of goals "home and away goals" Indeed, the rules were unfair.
Xavi was nothing without Ronaldinho, Busquets, Iniesta and Messi around him. He wasn't even a top 10 midfielder in the world before they came along. One of the most overrated players ever, it is hilarious watching him trying to chase Zidane around like a little kid. Zizou in this game was, as always, exceptional. He taught Barca a footballing lesson that day.
He played defenser midfield then (Busquet role)..after, Riijkaard change his role and he become a number 8 and the great midfielder we know. In 2005 he was awarded best spanish player, in 2008 he was the best player in the Euro (All before Guardiola took the team).
You clearly don’t know anything about football. First of xavi and Zidane are completely different players, different roles and different positions. Secondly, calling xavi overrated is just plain stupid. You clearly can’t analyze games nor players.
Como se reía Zidane de Xavi todo el partido 😂😂😂 todavía de entrenador se ríe aún mucho mucho más de Xavi. Y Xavi cómo futbolista era un espectáculo pero Zidane era otro nivel.
best medifilder in the world
3:57 Zidane -> Beckham -> Zidane -> Carlos Finish. it's the magic!
Yes..amazing passing😁
Very long range one-two combination.
It’s so awesome that I can’t help laughing!
He was so calm under pressure.
so classy.

When Zidane was playing, Xavi and other midfielders were just like rats compared to him...best midfielder of all times

Destroyed barca as a player.
Destroyd barca as a manager.
i love how Madrid played back then
Zidane showing Barca midfield levels
The whistles every time Figo touched the ball !
This Real Madrid was lucrative. The potential of players it had for that season was remarkably outstanding.

People who disrespect him are just kids who only care about stats
it seems so easy and effortless for him to keep control under tight pressure. so in control it's almost ridiculous
This team needed only one thing....a great manager. Thats it.

There is no need to insult other great players to prove how good Zidane was.
Xavi was great. Idiots like you give football fans a bad name.

Some bullshit comment can’t lie L ball knowledge
“Nothing without Ronaldinho and Messi” 😂 And yet he won 2008 Euro, 2010 World Cup, 2012 Euro without them.
