thanks for this video.i am trying to make a I-V curve tracer on a breadboard to test the characteristics of various components.i have xy on my scope.i get good voltage on channel placed across my DUT,but I am stumped on getting the current thru the device on channel 2.do you have a video on placement of scope probes on breadboard to measure current thru the DUT? thanks John
Hi Matthew, I learnt a lot from your video. The issue I face with the similar circuit is that when I measure the voltage over the second resistance (the one that is connected to the ground), the wave form is triangle shape and is not in the square form (incoming signal). Do you have any thoughts about why it is happening? Thank you!
One day I’ll have a scope that does the math. I’ve got to figure out why I lost channel 2. Well I didn’t, I bought it broke thinking I could fix it. What I didn’t take into consideration first was if I could even find a service manual. Service Manuals life’s Matter. Great Class.
Thanks that helped a lot! I never knew that the 2nd probe was connected to the ground

What will be the result if we power the circuit with dc power supply or battery instead of function generator?
Yeah! Answer the question, Fairbanks!
Based on my lab session, just a straight line since it's DC
Straight lines

Hi! Matthew I have one power DC how to measurement , it's not common ground with oscilloscope.

I know you won't do it or even respond to this comment (I can tell by the tone in your voice), but try powering with a DC power supply.
I can tell by your comment you are a jerk.
Why is this comment so passive aggressive?
