I am a Palestinian and Algerian person born in Sweden. Excited to see representation of my other cultures. I've been a follower for years and plan to continue being your follower. I adore this cake; it's truly stunning! I appreciate the support for my communities. Your use of influence to raise awareness is inspiring. Keep being yourself!
Welcome to Malaysia! 😄 I'm from Malaysia, but from the Borneo island. BTW, it's call Baju Kurung. And yes, we enjoy all festivals and visiting our family and friends regardless of their ethnicities or religions. We love to eat and eating good food. Hence, whenever you meet any Malaysian, they will ask, "Sudah makan?" Means, have you eat? If no, they will ask you to join them to eat.
Hi Malaysian here! The traditional outfit you mean is called a “baju kurung”, baju is pronounce baa-joo. Baju means clothes and “kurung” means caged or cage. So essentially it’s to reflect the state of being covered up by clothes when you wear baju kurung. I’m so happy that we got this cake. Also, Malaysia has been incredibly vocal about our support in Palestinian causes. Our PM banned Israeli ships to dock at our ports and the McDonald’s in our country have been so severely affected, they are trying to sue BDS. Proud of my country. ❤️🇵🇸🍉❤️🇵🇸🍉❤️
Love from Malaysia!!!!! The outfit is called baju kurung and I love the colours, Mimo!😊As a Malaysian I can confirm that song is stuck in my head too 😂 Malaysians do partake in eachothers festivities regardless of race, religion and ethnicity. We are rich in culture and our food is the best. Sometimes you can find 3 variations of each food. Fun fact: Malaysia has A LOT of holidays but we still complain we want more 😂!
It's called Baju Kurung, pronounced “Ba'hjuh Kuh'rong” Baju stands for dress while Kurung means caged but also stands for covered. It's a modest Malay dress, however, we have traditional dresses for women Saree for the Indians, Cheongsam for the Chinese people, and MORE!
