The instant feedback, the multiple styles you face, you are forced to evolve almost daily. It takes you a lot more effort to go to the arcade, wait your turn, watch lots of other players play before your turn, talk and discuss with other players around the arcade, learning from each other and adapting to so many different techniques, the exposure is just off the charts, like EXP% BONUS

I want to correct you on something, since I'm from Lahore, Pakistan (where Arslan Ash is from).... The time when Tekken was the most popular in Pakistan was the time when arcades were popular here. Those were the times when we had Yahoo! and MSN Messenger, dialup internet connections and Nokia's keypad phones. Internet and computers were not widely available and even where they were, there were not so many past times. Those were the times when Arcades were the best past time in Pakistan. They were everywhere, and Tekken Tag and Tekken 3 were the most popular games. I haven't seen an arcade in a long time. The only players you see are hard core fans who kept playing. I remember the Tekken scene and the arcade scene of my childhood, 90% of the arcades have been shut down and this started probably around 2015. If Pakistan had stepped into the international scene in 2015 or before, with Tekken 3 or Tag players, Pak would've been what Korea has been at that time. I have scene the players in the Arcades in my childhood. If by mistake I stepped into an arcade, an 8 year old innocent looking kid would kick my ass.

It's still crazy that Pakistan out of any countries is the one to rival SK in Tekken. There is literally not a single game where they are as dominant as Tekken 7. SK on the other hand has a few games and genres on their belt, including Tekken, and usually is only rivaled by the US, Russia or China.

@joceja23 Feng wei is just a very good Tekken character, its not comparable to a broken 2D character like Akuma that can 10f jab/djab you into death combo (+ evasive d3, flip, etc). Feng also doesn't have good punishes against Akuma, Akuma can flip challenge and kill Feng every times, Akuma just doesn't have bad match up period. Atif is the best at getting that last 10f in for a clutch comeback though.
With that said, there's not much you can do to balance the character beside nerfing the meter gain, so Namco just add meter to all characters like T8 lol.

This is peak Tekken 7 right now in every single metrics: skills, tournament settings, team rivalry. Its sad to see we only get 6k live viewers for this hype tournament. It seems hard to justify another tournament of this budget until Tekken 8.
Team setup is actually much more exciting that I thought, maybe some official Team Mode can be interesting. There are so many interesting players/characters match up that can't be mapped linearly like how AO beat Atif, Atif beat Ulsan, Ulsan beat AO. Atif beat Knee, Arslan (mostly) beat Atif, Knee beat Arslan, Kwiss beat Arslan, Nobi beat Kwiss. Which result in some interesting meta game to pick Players/Characters, making it unpredictable, but more exciting. Player with limited Characters pool can struggle though, especially if you main weak characters (Ulsan, Kwiss), so even if you're one of the best in Korea like Ulsan doesn't mean that you're that good in this format compare to other Korean players.

Pakistan Tekken changed the game. Watch old videos of Tekken 7 before Pakistan. Techniques are centered around single attacks or pokes. Backdash and re-engage with 1 hit attacks only. Whiffs, punish, counter, in anticipation of a single move.
Pakistan's aggressive playstyle has got mix-ups on timing, pokes, dashes, and they use *strings.*
They also crowd the poker. They crowd your safe and secure playstyle with pressure and inputs forcing you to play aggressively.

    • @straightlead8
