I have 2 of these that I bought last year. These are the best and are super quit. Now don’t think you won’t hear anything bc you will. When the compressor comes on you do hear a slight hum. Trust me you will be able to sleep just fine with this on all night. I did a lot of research on this product and am so glad I got them!!!
I got one of these last year and works great ,but this year the temp on the unit itself changes on its own,so I would hear a beep beep beep until the temp is at the 80s and have to keep putting it down..any solutions?
I have been in search of a quiet window unit, been considering a mini split unit but they cost about 2 grand, if this will cool quietly then I may give it a try
Cool, thanks for posting this. I was interested in this product for my wife's office I am building. She can be very distracted with unwanted noise when she is working. I should note that the different settings from high to quiet is the blower. The compressor should always work at the same frequency or the same amount. That item is either off or on. The blower speed however can make a huge difference in decibels. Even with the window unit I have in our sunken den to help the main HVAC unit has to be turned down to a medium setting to hear the tv without difficulty. I have a off the subject question. What did you use to film this video? I can clearly hear a stereo capture of the sound. Again thanks for post. I know that this particular product has a sound shield on the blower and the compressor for added quietness. I didn't know, until i watched your posting, that it additionally has a timer. I was planning on buying a conventional window unit and installing a sound barrier between the outside compressor and the interior condenser/blower but I now know the blower is the main culprit toward the noise in these air conditioners.
Hey Arin... thx for sharing your experience. As of now, it's my second summer using the unit and everything rocks! Still very quiet. My camera is from my phone, the Samsung S7 Edge
Help please for the person who made this video or anyone else. I bought it today & so fart works great. But, I can't seem to figure something out with the timer. I was hoping to be able to set it for a certain time (for example 2 hours) so I can go to sleep & it will automatically shut off them, or whatever about of hours I would put. All it seems to do is show 8. Or if I go to 1, it just shuts off. Thinking that means it will go back on automatically in 1 hour? But is there a way to set the timer so that it stays on for say 1-2 hours & then just goes off automatically after that? Thanks!
I have this AC unit and for some reason for the past two weeks it literally has been beeping all day and night it keeps shutting itself off and on and regulating it the temperature by itself I don't know how to fix this and I'm absolutely going crazy somebody please help
Lol u keep flipping that compressor on and off like that it's going die. Every window unit has a 2 to 4 minute restart delay u can clearly here the compressor when it clicks on and off.
It's a relay for the high side and low side freon pressure's to equalize makes it way easier for the capacitor to start the compressor. Just about every electric driven compressor has that restart delay.
Good review for this ac unit. Very cool and quiet, worth the money.

It looks like just like the GE quiet cool it looks very similar even the buttons everything is exactly the same
Yep. Haier and ge are the exact same. As a matter of fact Haief makes about 95% of the different brands of window ac units.

I'm not a mechanic... I would hide the remote to see if it's a defect remote. If not return the unit
Thanks, I actually just took the batteries out the remote to see if it still does it.so far so good

Question1: esaq406p is 6050 btu. Is esaq406t 6000btu?
Question2: what is the lowest temperature setting(lower than 22) ?
you still like it, no problems, no noise,? and why did it make so much noise in the begging? thanks

They usually come with ACs.

I want one of these and can't find one online for love or money. Does anyone know where I might find one?

Really? I didn't know that. That explains a lot

Do you have to replace the filter or is it cleanable?
Thanks
you can wash it.
Buying this today
Does it HAVE to be in a window?
$229 in Canada?? Can’t find that price in US anywhere. Not even close to that amount.
Does it have to be in a window?
Eumm... I guess
what kind of question is that?
Nah, just strap it to your tv
