Now that I’m watching it again, it makes sense why jack was excited to see Hawkeye since he’s a lot like him in a sense. Being a normal human who is highly skilled with a bow would probably make jack feel like he could be a hero too but with swords.
Nice touch with Clint having trauma related hearing loss from all the fights/explosions that he's been in. Really good touch to show WHY in effect a new class of heroes is taking the mantle.

Admit it or not but I believed Hawkeye Series is one of those Good but not bad Marvel Show in this Phase. Just Loved how they gave Clint trauma from past Movies of Avengers, it's just to show that even at his Human peak he still struggle to find himself in peace.

This show is the best one they did. Because it was a grounded, small story. Saving the world/universe is boring. Saving the neighborhood is a fun story.
I think one of the biggest problems with Marvel post-Endgame is that people expected the stories to stay big, even huge, and these TV shows weren't meant to be huge. I didn't love all of them, and I didn't watch some of them. But I got a kick out of this one. Hailee Steinfield is a born star, so that helped. I think it could have been massaged a bit more. These shows tend to fumble their third acts (Though my god, did Wandavision ever stick the landing!). And I think, when they try to introduce a new character with full back-story to set up another show, it tends to play havoc with the flow. But I think the biggest problem was always expectation. This show was mostly everything it needed to be. So was Wandavision. Even She-Hulk was mostly fun, though I think it didn't quite find the balance between Marvel and Broad City. Leaning further in either direction, I think, would have benefited it. Though I want to watch it one more time to get a better sense of where it went wrong, and where it went right. Hot-takes are over-rated.
