Hi Bin Do you know why my family can't instance fit the curtain wall panel height? I create curtain panel.rta then import the generic model. create height link (PH); but when I load in as curtain wall panel, the panel height is not interactive. I need to change height by manual to exactly fit the curtain wall horizonal division.
The height parameter in your generic model need to be instance parameter, then in the curtain panel family, go to elevation view, drag the handle (blue triangle) onto the reference plane and lock.
Hello for one of my school projects I created a mass, and then I try to create a wall by the face of the mass to create a storefront and put this on my wall, but it says that the storefront system is incompatible with the massing. I tried to create a curtain grid by going to massing & site > curtain system and edit the type to the family (the last step) but the facades can't be created or are not shown. For a mass with different geometry is there a way to create this facade?
I think it’s because they are actually different things. In this exercise, I was using normal curtain wall panels placed in a normal curtain wall, which means all the panels will be vertical and rectangular shape. But you were trying to create a wall on a mass face, which could be irregular shape. I think you will need to use pattern based curtain panel(not sure about the name, am on the phone), which can be placed on any face. Can you do some sketch and show me what you want to achieve, maybe I can help you.

Is there a material parameter assigned to the family? Try to select one family and check the properties, if not there, check type parameters, if still not there, you can edit the family and change the material in the family.
You need to create an instance parameter for the width, load it into the curtain wall panel family, manually drag the handle to the Left and Right reference plane and lock them.

when i load the panel into the project the material change its in glass and i want it with wood, how can i change the material to wood pls?
