Those Altman latches, The Striker Pins shouldnt be loose... That latch striker design is used on millions of different cars... non of them are loose... Curious they call them easy latches... They should call them Difficult, Design Flaw, Missing Pieces Latches... For 400 bux, tax, shipped, they should install themselves, once you cut up a door, there is no going back to original latches which are half as much price as new repops... Your video is extfemely well done with exception to wondering if your doors constantly ratling or poping open due to loose Striker Pins...???
It would have been nice for them to include some shims for the striker but the mechanism itself is much better than factory. I also wish they could have made it lock like the way the original did but otherwise I'm very happy with it so far.
Sad to hear. Hope your neighbor payed well for Bob. R.I.P Bob! So sad to hear. He was a funny rooster.
Well explained and filmed, thanks!
Thanks for the detailed instructions. You did a fantastic job. Please Oil your hinges. ha ha
Thank you. Appreciate your problem solving approach.
Beautiful truck brother, keep those videos coming
Thank you!
Learned a little more before attacking my 53. Thank you.
Great, glad it's of help!
Great instructions and the latch is perfect but having trouble connecting the lock to work
just curious, what would happen if you turned the washer upside down, or in the cup out direction ? I have a 55. Really enjoyed your video
I think I tried that also, the cup of the washer is much bigger than the hole so it wouldn't help center either. Thanks for watching!
You should have a gasket behind the striker plate

The Altman kit is lacking a little in the engineering department...

Agreed...
Even the old factory ones were shimmed out.
