That section at the end is makeable It’s right where the storm water drain is. On a good sized swell you have to take a high line then do a sweeping bottom turn around that section that will break in front of you. After that it’s ez peezy kickout by the pier.
Just shy of a full minute ride surfing in and out of “traffic” .... super jealous! He in Fla to get a rise close to that length you have to catch it outside and work it all the way to the inside to shore when possible! Right.... back left cut back right to a round house back left and then turn back ride pumping thru mushy sections !
In defense of this guy playing it safe...what would have happened if he ate it on his first cutback ? He would have blown the wave of the day. I rest my case
I see so many dudes like this that ride HP thrusters and Im just thinking they would have so much more fun on a twinny fish or even a single fin. I mean he surfed a thruster like it was a single fin
what difference would it make? Like for real, I'm not being rude, I'm genuinely asking. Also was I the only yelling at my computer "DUDE DO A TUUURRN!" lol
@@ejectoraircoasters222 with the right fin setup theyde be way loser and faster. Heaps more fun. Even a twin + small stabiliser would achieve the same result.
hell nah, perfect cutback practice, besides carves (which this dude clearly doesn't know how to do) are much cooler then moving your feet a couple steps
Great shape but zero power. Weak and pathetic wave for its size. Barely had enough power to push the guy going straight down the line. I hate waves like that.
YAAAAWWWWNNNN. Boring. I remember the good old days, 40 years ago, when I was surfing point, there were MANY talented surfers. Not just all these stand and go straight boys
Legend has it, that in the last 6 yrs. he has yet to do a turn......
I'd say that was only thru to fairgrounds... If it was to C-Street - the pier would have been visible.

That place is so much fun!
50 second ride 0 carves ^^
Back in the 80's we hit C street a few times during a big swell..long long really fun rides..it was great.
I like how he was cautious nearing the crowd. I feel crappy when I hit someone and even crappier when hit.

Rincon was epic this day!
Not necessarily. If the swell is north C Street is on. Might entirely miss Rincon. Rincon must be west.
@@clarkewi Dude I was there! Enough of your swell direction mumbo jumbo!
Bob Young is a surf cinematographer? I didn't know that. Ra Mu Ta La Hun!
what a ride!
Amazing!!!
use to love surfing this place
used to? Is it cuz it's a total zoo now
Looks fun
What camera and lens? Thx
What a mob to thread thru. Poor guy.

you can get longer ones up the coast
Typical cobblestone point burger in Cali.Give me a hard breaking beachie anyday.
It’d be good if someone could surf
Good job of dodging everyone...lol

Didnt do one fuckn turn
ikr lol, I was yelling at my screen like, "C'mon turn here, ok nvm, blowtail here, nvm, ok roundhouse cutback right there OH MY GOD DO A TURN!!"
Lol
I’ll never understand why people ride thrusters at c st
why not? I get it's a slow wave but thrusters are good for snappy turns
Ejector Air Coasters yea it’s a slow wave. It’s surrounded by waves that are more suitable for it.
@@zareh805 like what? Ventura Harbor?
Ejector Air Coasters School House, Dredge, South Jetty, Knoll, Rivermouth, Shores, Emma Wood, Pitus, Rincon

Needs a long period swell and that dude didn’t have enough foam for this day
