- John Treagood was a familiar sight around the grass verges of Devon and Somerset's roads for many years, as he moved around the westcountry with his horse and two dogs.
Sadly, he passed away recently, on February 9th, 2020. He was 84.
This short clip is from a 90 minute interview/film made with John in 2015, some of which forms part of my film 'Westcountry Yap' which can be found here:

I will be uploading more footage of John and other characters I have met and filmed, as and when time permits.
Seemed like a nice man , God bless him , hope he's in a good place now ...
I was homeless and busking for about a decade and I met him a few times on my travels he was always friendly and was a pleasure to see him parked up.
Only just found this sad news about John, never had the pleasure to have met him. Such an inspirational bloke. Rest In Peace John.
What a lovely bloke.he got it right.❤
What a class guy & true gentleman.
Why do we need a house, a crap job & all to be trapped until we croak it.
Yes, R.I.P. John.
RIP John. Seen him and his caravan around. 🙏
RIP John now with God.
R.I.P. John

RIP..GENTLEMAN JOHN. He did it his way...pity more people cant respect people who chose this alternative life choice. They want you to be NORMAL lol. What is normal..living free as I have done..or live as a wage slave and in dept for most of their lives in jobs they hate..then think it great because they have a mortgaged house and living off of credit cards. No thanks.
Fair play he was his own boss
