You have to understand that Capcom evolution is standing in a place where Capcom All Stars stood. It was a 3d fighting game that had one location testing, got crapped on by the testers there, making the management panic and pushed out this turd instead. So it's not just "hurr cap Evo looks like crap hurr" it's " this abomination to God, is the aborted offspring of what potentially could have been."

I'm not a big fighter gamer but i'm happy to see this part of gaming getting some love. These are some major major games that got left on company shelves decades ago.
You ever played those Mario party minigames where everyone gets to run around and punch each other? Power stone is that but expanded on into an actual fighting game and its great.
It's essentially 3D Smash Bros where you're on an arena fighting and picking up items and throwing objects at your opponent(s), it is seriously so much fun!
Good time to get to know it then, when the collection comes out. Better late than never. Power Stone is just one example that displays of the incredible versatility of Capcom in the 90s, that lasted for a bit more in the 00s, before the company became focused on their big hits. Not only that but it shows the old Capcom's talent to create completely new franchises with interesting worlds and characters. And they did a lot of that over the 90s, and literally every year. There are many nice character designs in Power Stone just like those abandoned games.

It would be if they did the smart thing and let CFE/CFJ just die. After all it wasn't a Naomi/DC game and the game was balls trash. But yes these versions are the Sega Naomi arcade board, which is basically a Dreamcast Pro, which is why the Dreamcast versions were the best ports. It think with Alpha 3, Upper was a port of the Dreamcast version not the other way around.
Don't get me wrong, the MvC Collection is very exciting and I can't wait to play it with friends... But CvS2 is the one, that's the game I cut my fighting game teeth with

My cousin owned a Dreamcast and going to his house as a kid and playing Power Stone was so great, one of the most fun games of my childhood and I'm so happy it's back!

From what I know about Evolution, the game was unbalanced and people say it's like someone made a MUGEN Rip but worse balance in either way that's all I know there are some parts I'm missing. Let me know
There is no point in investing in KOF 15 with something as big as guest chars right now. In general that's not a good idea to present guests in the end of a game's life, unless this idea of guest chars is just included in a set of other ideas to revitalize the game seriously. But that bet only works if the own game has that potential. (That's Arc Systems' bet btw) But even big franchises like SF and TK are favoring the strategy of showing guest chars early. So it seems smarter to imitate successful franchises and not leave guests for last. The guest char's assets will be even unusable for the sequel.
I'm so happy that these collections are coming out with all these extras, especially online play. But seeing that these are coming out soon, I hope ...i hope capcom utilizes these IPs more in their next collaboration or collaborations, especially Power Stone.
One starting step could be "cosplay costumes" for SF6 just like those from SF5. That's good to do because these dlc costume packs so far have some pretty good but also some pretty bad ideas... and they are even expensive. Better to use "legacy" fanservice then. But the ideal path in my opinion would be a Capcom-only crossover that covers literally everything from their history. Just as much detail and passion as Smash Bros but as a traditional fg. Since Capcom is uninterested in making a lot more different fgs like in the 90s, a crossover could help. Then it would be SF and this crossover franchise walking together from then on.
1998-2002 was peak if you know you know. We all from different parts of the world and yet we all connected to these games. Couch multiplayer glory days.

If it wasn't for Street Fighter, being the founding father of fighting games, no other fighting game franchises would exist and we wouldn't become what we are today.
