SAD update: 😭 When I was editing, I found out that the video had so much background noise in it and this was because while recording, I forgot to close my window and turn off my fan (Wind + Fan noise). It depends on you and the school you’ll be applying to. You can decide to join them as a transfer student by transferring credits if there’s room for that or join them as a freshman. Please email your potential school to get more concrete information.

What are the obligations for persons (non relative) standing as sponsors for I-20 form & student visa,how will that affect the sponsor reapplying for a regular travel visa in the U.S.

Hi Kofi, if you can't find your school on the SEVIS website write to/call the school's International Office asking whether they are SEVP certified and if they are, why they are not on the list. A school that is not certified will not be in a position to issue you with an I-20. This will affect your chances of getting an F-1 visa. Most importantly, do your research before paying admission fees (or any other fees). This website is quite beneficial but please talk to the school's Internation Office. studyinthestates.dhs.gov/2014/07/find-your-sevp-certified-school-on-the-map. Have you tried applying to other schools that are actually on the SEVP certified list? This may be the safer route to take, but that's just my opinion.
