Synopsis:
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, gives an electrifying performance as Samar Anand, a hard working young immigrant in the city of London, where he glimpses upon the love of his life, a gorgeous angelic looking girl, (Katrina Kaif). They meet and their bond blossoms into love with time spent together. Samar however meets with a serious accident, and Meera vows to God she will leave Samar forever if He allowed him to live again, their love affair ends as quickly as it began.
Samar angered with God and fueled with his love for Meera, declares War against Him. Samar Anand vows to walk into the jaws of death everyday as a challenge to God to keep him alive. He becomes Major Samar Anand in the Indian Army, a bomb disposal chief, defusing bombs without ever wearing a bomb suit. It is here that Major Samar also known as 'the man who cannot die' meets Akira (Anushka Sharma), a spirited vibrant, 'today's generation' Discovery Channel correspondent with a WTF attitude. One of the finest songs created in Indian cinema. Thanks to Gulzar AR Rehman but most of all to Rabbi Shergil. Shergill sings it so effortlessly. It saddens me that his name is missing in the credits. Listening to his soulful voice one can imagine if this poetry could be sung in more than one way.

i was in 10th when jab tak hai jaan was released i still remember the vibe. i use to have only 1 gb data for a month and i had used around 100mb to download all songs from this movie , jiya re, challa and use to listen this on repeat while solving math problems. Really loved those days .. It was really the golden ear for people born in 2000s.
I was 10 back when i heard this charming piece. I used to be this Shahrukh sir roaming around the house doing challa ki labda fire playing an invisible guitar posture xD now I'm 17. Time really passed by, tunes bringing back sweet memories down the lane♡

I have so many memories attached to this song.
So one night we had some guests came over at our house, so in a Pashtun household it is mandatory for boys and men to stay outside home in our Hujras (place for men only) out of respect for the women guests. It was 2014, I was in grade 9th and I had my Chemistry paper tmrw but I took out my mobile phone which only could play Audio songs and listened to this song for whole night in headphones. I still remember that night as I got the highest marks in Chemistry. Somehow this song relaxed my mind.
