i think she 100% saw him in the temple, most logical and believable theory but also the most realistic. also really want this to be the case so we get flashbacks of vader going crazy in the temple.
How did some younglings escape squads and squads of microchipped, shoot on sight psychos, an angry Anakin with a purpose when the entire point was to wipe the Jedi order completely? It's just sketchy.
Vader wasn't revealed to be Sidious's new Enforcer until 5 years later so nobody would have known Anakin was vader, Palpatine spread false propaganda that Anakin is a hero of the newly found Empire as he eradicated the "Evil" Jedi and died defending it but its strange how later on its made out Vader killed Anakin, or at least its what Vader claimed, which woukd be very Sith-like as they kill each other to prove how powerful they are.
I am convinced that Reva was one of the younglings that we saw in the beginning of the episode. It is very believable that she saw Anakin lead the attack during Order 66 and that's how she knows.
Surprised nobody else noticed that. She was the one the camera centered on throughout the flashback scene. I guarantee we'll see more of that flashback play out as the series continues, probably building to the reveal that she sees Anakin in the temple.
but how does she make the connection of Anakin to Vader? I thought anakin wasn't called vader until after getting his make-over? so, the clone troopers wouldn't have called him "lord vader" when he was slaughtering jedi.
It would’ve made a lot more sense for the Grand Inquisitor to have been the one to tell Obi Wan about Anakin still being alive. He was a temple guard and was at the Jedi temple during Order 66 where he betrayed them and turned to the dark side. Reva should’ve found out later in the show which could’ve led to some flashback PTSD scenes of her as a youngling trying to survive the purge
to her credit, her knowing matches her side of the plot of "im mad and on the come up to be top boy in da inquistior ting so mandem needs to dip kenobes innit." finding access to archives that show a link between Organa and Kenobi means one can safely assume that she would've came across anakin taking a promotional load from Palpatine in the 18+ archives "earning" the name vader.
She was one of the younglings at the temple when Anakin attacked, so there’s that. But hopefully we’ll see more of their connection. BTW, missing your Kenobi beard, SWT…
How could she be a youngling in order 66? She would be like 14-17 in the show if she was cause it takes place 10 years later. She looks like she’s in her 20’s.
@@scoopskiii There's a little girl that looks around the age of 9 or 12 at the beginning of episode one in the flashbacks so that could be her go back and watch it
I'm pretty sure that *ALL* Inquisitors know who Darth Vader is. After all who is powerful enough to be the right hand to the Emperor along with executing Order 66. The Palpatine probably told the Grand Inquisitor who also told his lackeys. Plus, many Jedi in the comics knew Anakin was Vader like Jocasta Nu.
@@Nubin2000 no way they know. I don't think Vader nor Palpatine want them to know, cuz they're known to be quite chatty you know? And I'm pretty sure they dont gonna reak Canon again if they make all of em know. Or they pull the Disney move, and put all comics that handled this topic into legends, which would be just wow tbh
I am almost certain that Vader knows that Tarkin knows, considering their dialogue in A New Hope when Vader spoke to him about Obi Wan as if he knew, despite what the novel says.
Well explained, because when I saw Reva refer to DV as Anakie Skywalker I was like "WTF... How is she still alive knowing that enormous secret...!?" I think you're right, Vader mustn't know she knows... In that case, it could be interesting to see what happens if Vader learns that Reba knows.
@@Squeekysquid one of the Inquisitors said „we all get what we deserve“ so i think she dies (Maybe trying to kill Obi Wan herself and Vader gets angry and kills her to kill Ben himself)
@@malena5026 I agree, either Vader kills her because he wants the sole privilege of killing Kenobi, or somehow she sacrifices herself as a redemption to save Kenobi. The other thought I have is that in a scene with the three of them Kenobi tells Vader that Reva knows and that’s how her fate is sealed.
What you said about her being written to be annoying was a really interesting point! I too was pretty annoyed at the character, but I think you're right in that being intentional. That actually helps me go into the rest of the series with an open mind regarding Reva. So thanks!
Compare her to Joffery in GAME of Thones, hes annoying but well done and his scenes left me satisfied. Shes annoying and corny which bugs me and all her scenes broke immersion.
She kind of reminds me of a Padawan, young and full of energy. Maybe she was a Padawan learner while Order 66 was going on and that’s why she’s seen as annoying. A good example is Ahsoka in the Clone Wars movie. She was a Padawan learner and was full of energy and seen as annoying. Just my take on it.
My theory is that Reva is hellbent on revenge. She wants to kill Vader and she thinks she can. She wants to kill him because she saw him at the temple killing younglings. For killing her friends. All this catching kenobi stuff is just to lure vader and then attempt to kill him, of course she would fail miserably.
@Panurgic I don’t think she cares about being a Jedi or honoring the code anymore. I mean she never was a Jedi anyway. She doesn’t care about being cruel or good, she just wants revenge. That’s just what I think.
Another potential option is she saw him christened as Vader in the security footage. In episode 2 she mentions finding a connection between Obi Wan and Bail in the archives; something that the others or anyone else seemed to have missed, which shows she's resourceful. It's possible that the security footage of Palpatine christening Anakin as Vader was also hidden in there as well.
That was my original take as well. I was actually surprised when I saw that like you said, a lot of people seemed to have missed her line about visiting the archives. Leia and Luke's birth was a well kept secret. Even Vader himself thought Padme had died on Mustafar after he force choke her. The only way for Reva to know that Anakin was Leia's father (which she does. That's why she had her kidnapped) would be through video recording in the archives. The same archives we know has (or had) video recordings of Order 66 and Anakin being knighted as Darth Vader. That would also explains why Vader wouldn't know she's aware of his identity. The only issue with this is that she willingly put Vader's daughter in danger but in her messed up mind she could have taught she was protecting Vader from "Anakin". That or she saw Vader knowing about Leia as a treat to her ascension to be by his side.
@@tomlivesey8257 It just makes sense, and she seems like the type who would find that by chance while looking for information on Obi Wan and file that information away for future use. Hell I could see her being the one to delete that footage from the archives so that, in her mind, only she knew Vader's secret. She has ambition of power, so having that sort of information would be a very good bartering chip.
@@MastarNinja She had Leia kidnapped because of Bail, not Anakin. She specifically said she found a link between Bail and Obi Wan and that's why she went after Bail's daughter. I'd say it was a calculated gamble. She Figured Bail wouldn't use an army because that would draw too much attention (I believe even he said the same thing to Obi Wan) and knew that the one person he could go to, that he was close to is Obi Wan, so it made sense that Bail would send him. Nothing about Luke and Leia would of been in the archives because they were born most likely on the Tantive IV.
4:36 That was rather unexpected. Anyway, I agree that the most likely explanation is that Reva was one of the Jedi younglings at the Jedi Temple during Order 66, where she could’ve seen Anakin, and heard the clones refer to him as “Lord Vader.”
To be fair, it’s clear that “Ben” is depressed and has tried to leave his life as Obi Wan far behind. He’s probably tried to avoid Galactic News and certainly tried to avoid any “Imperial Entanglements” in the intervening decade. He’s also hiding on Tatooine in the outer rim. In Episode I, Shmi Skywalker said to Padmé that “the Republic doesn’t exist here.” It’s entirely plausible that the Empire has no real interest in such a remote planet too, preferring to use the bulk of its resources in enforcing the rule in the Core Worlds, Inner and Mid Rims. Don’t forget that in the Original Trilogy Jabba The Hutt’s power was still immense (well, until the start of ROTJ anyway)
I agree, if he’s actually done nothing but that daly routine on Tatooine for 10 years it’s entirely possible he wouldn’t have heard the name Vader. Like who there would be talking about him
I’m sure KENOBI had his suspicions or/and had heard about Vader. That being said he was so reclusive during this time and his main objective was of course to stay alive, train, and protect Luke. Therefore it’s understandable that he would not pursue those hunches any further.
He knew since ROTS anakin was Vader. Remember when he was watching the security hologram at the Jedi temple, Palpatine calls him Vader. Also Yoda mentions Anakin was consumed by Darth Vader. Still I think it would’ve been better if Reva just mentioned the name “Vader” without saying anakin is alive, Obi Wan would still know he f up.
How are people liking this comment? He didn’t find out from reva that anakin is Vader, he knew already, what he found out from reva was that he was still alive! he’d spent the last 10 years with the guilt of thinking he left vader to die on mustafar
Regardless of how he would of heard, he would of known eventually that Vader lived. That sorta PTSD shock of his failure and creation of a Sith Lord is what drove it home to me, in the heat of the moment saving Leia. I do believe she probably saw him at the temple, and used Obi-Wan's fear to read his mind. His constant failure in his Apprentice and best friend turning to the Dark Side, and with the little flashbacks she has gotten from his mind and the scene Obi-Wan saw 10 years ago of Darth Sidious knighting Anakin as Darth Vader, probably was what she saw and used it against him, after putting two and two together. Just to see Obi-Wan shaking and almost panicking, is what I wanted in his series. That constant fear of Obi-Wan's Depressed PTSD kicking in reminding him of the past.
I believe that if she was able to uncover Kenobi's connection with Bail Organa, the odds of her finding compromising information on who Vader is a very likely possibility
I think she also mind-probed Obi-Wan, as a way to tau t him and get a reaction. “His thoughts had betrayed him.” That was why she clarified, “yes, he is alive.” She knew what he was feeling when she mentioned Vader.
How about this one: I think she knows because she can read people's minds better than most. I think Vader uses her as his proxy through distant mind reading. This explains 1. How she knows Vader is Anakin 2. Why Vader lets her off the hook for knowing 3. Why the inquisitors are reluctant to really discipline her, despite her undermining them 5. Why she felt confident telling Obi Wan about Anakin (Vader communicated that she could and should probably in the hopes that Obi Wan will come for him)
@@t14dann18 yeah that very well could be. The only thing I would say about that theory is why hasn't Vader taken her out for knowing. He has taken out anyone who's know his name. Except for the Emperor and Tarkin. But that is assuming he knows that she knows.
You have to consider that this show takes place years before Rebels does, and even in the early timeline of Rebels, normal citizens had no idea who Darth Vader was. The imperial higher ups were familiar with him at that point, but Kanan and his crew had no clue who the black armored figure attacking them was. So it’s only natural that Obi Wan, who’s been secluding himself in a cave on Tatooine for a decade, has never heard anyone mention Darth Vader either.
he heard Anakin being called Vader by palpatine during the prequels but he might've not paid much attention to that maybe he will realize he could have known it all along if he had paid attention to that.
"Probably also went through his spine. But, hey, you know, worse things have happened in Star Wars." Like Malak surviving losing his jaw. Fennec surviving a gut shot. Fett surviving the Sarlacc. Trench surviving the destruction of *two* capital ships. Vader surviving losing half of his limbs and being burned alive. And Maul surviving bifurcation. Yeah I wasn't too happy about the Grand Inquisitor getting sucker-punched so easily, but getting mortally wounded is kind of a rite of passage in Star Wars. Also, I agree that Reva knowing that Vader is Anakin is a little off. But it's not a canon-breaking detail. As so many here have discussed, there's several plausible explanations as to why she might know. And using it as a set-up for the Big Reveal to Obi Wan was definitely worth it.
My theory is that she read Obi-Wan's mind when she told him Vader wanted him. Kenobi started freaking out and in his moment of weakness, she read his mind and learned Anakin=Vader. She only said Vader first not Anakin, then when Obi-Wan started freaking out she said Anakin.
She didn't have to read his mind...just felt his emotions with the force. Like how Kylo Ren felt Finn's shame, disgust and empathy when the Stormtroopers slaughtered those town people on Jakku
@@gameforce514 we’ll remember she can look into minds and force answers without them saying anything . That how she found out where Obi was with leia b4 she told him
Remember in Fallen Order, Vader is a myth that is essentially unknown. On a distant world like Tattooine, I would fully expect no news of Vader to have reached Obi-Wan, who’s already living a secluded and lonely life
Vaders anger and hatred are what clouds his ability to see into the future. Yoda explained to him that he must learn to let go. Instead he held on because of fear and thus was unable to sense his downfall. All he cared about was what he could gain.
Hey Theory, I was wondering what happened with the 501st knowing that Anakin was Vader, since they saw him and knew him as Lord Vader during the temple siege and since they became Vaders fist post Mustafar battle?
@@wizardtower7696 I hate to say it, but the hate from lots of people is because she’s a black woman. They went into the show blinded, thinking she’a just a token character, and see everything through race and gender.
I’m not a fan of Reva so far, and I feel a little disappointed how prominent she has been, mainly because I’m never a fan of overly-annoying characters (obviously). It does feel like they’ve toned down how evil the rest of the inquisitors are though just to make her seem even more evil. Unfortunately though, it does feel like with the direction it’s going in, its just gonna be a carbon copy of Trilla in Jedi: Fallen Order. Hopefully she gets cut down by Vader in Ep 3 or 4 after he finds out she knows who he is and that’s the last we see of her. No redemption arc, no underlying ties to a major plot point, just a power-hungry secondary villain that get slaughtered by the main villain.
@@quicklyform5162 personally i don't think she'd a deep character and i don't think that's how they are portraying her either. She's being presented as a self centered and bloodthirsty and impatient inquisitor. Which to be honest sounds like how the sith were during the days of the old republic and beyond that, this is more evident by the fact that she goes on to stab the grand inquisitor so he doesn't take the credit for what she did
I'm actually kinda mixed on Reva. On one hand I do think she does a will enough job as the type of small villain to fill out the gaps of Vader at this point, and her actress is really good. On the other hand I also think she has way too much of a focus compared to the other Inquisititors, and think she should be dialed back some. I also think she can have some...ridiculous lines at times. At most I find her to be...okay for now. Not too interesting, but not too bad either. So as long as she doesn't overshadow Obi Wan in the show I'm fine. After all we are only two episodes in. Hopefully they don't put her into such a massive forefront in upcoming episodes.
Unlikely. She's one of the younglings shown in the first scene of the show. The way they're propping her up shows that she is a major character in the series. There will be at the very least an explanation of how she became so vengeful of the jedi.
My big issue is how Reva gets told multiple times to stop chasing obi wan, they catch her again still going at it and the grand inquisitor just scholds her again, and lets her go? Like wtf capture her and send her straight to Vader or the inquisitor's HQ? Vader has killed people for less. It's quite the mess so far.
Yeah....this is partly why she's actually a bad character imo. She breaks all the established rules of both the Empire and the Inquisitors. They were always teetering on a knifes edge with their existence, even a toe out of line and they'd be dead for their 'disloyalty' being seen as a problem. It's why one of the inquisitors literally fears what will happen to the point he jumps to his own death after a fight lol. Yet she just...ignores orders, argues with her superiors, and even attacks them....absolutely 1000% she'd be dead before she ever got a chance to see Obi Wan again.
The Inquisitors do not have that much power anymore they are being fazed-out just like the Jedi because they dont need them anymore. Reva is hated because she is a Jedi. Overall i think she is a good character and i think she will turn to the light in the end, because her hate comes from being abandoned by the Jedi and not for wanting power like a Sith!
Like everyone else had said, I think Reva and the other younglings ran into Anakin at the Temple thinking they were safe only for him to ignite his lightsaber and start attacking them. Reva ran away and was probably hiding close by to overhear the clones address Anakin as “Lord Vader” and once she becomes the Third Sister and works under Vader, she’ll remember that Vader is Anakin.
I don’t think it’ll be the reading Vader’s mind theory because doesn’t she have to do the Kyle Ren hand to the head thing to read a mind? If she can just read anyone’s mind at every moment then she would’ve known Luke’s uncle was lying immediately.
@@truetori5575 Yeah, she was able to pick Owen out of that crowd for knowing something about a Jedi just by being near him. I think the hand stuff is probably if she wants t get a detailed, exact memory/thought from someone she needs to do that but she can sense from a short distance things like someone is lying/hiding a thought, etc.
@@Green_Phos I think her picking out owen is for cinematic tension, not an actual display of her powers. Otherwise, she simply would've known about two people (Luke and Obi Wan) and not just one.
Initially, I thought she was just reading Obi-wan’s mind and thoughts. More I think about it, I think there is good chance that she either remembers from surviving the Jedi purge and order 66. She could’ve seen his face or a recording. There’s also a good possibility that she found a connection by going through the records and archives. She found a connection between Bail and Obi-wan, she probably found the connection that Vader was Anakin Skywalker🤷🏾♂️
@@SaberFate well he knows that Luke (who happens to live on his farm) is Anakins son and he also knows where Obi Wan is. But luckily she didn't read Owens mind right???
I think the way she found out was that when she said ‘Lord Vader will be pleased’ Kenobi knew that Anakin’s sith name was Darth Vader and Reva just read Kenobi’s mind and even she was just a bit shocked. She was like 😮 after she said it. ‘You didn’t know. Anakin Skywalker’
She's definitely one of the younglings in the opening scene that escapes. And if fifth brothers statement about her not being like the rest of the inquisitors is anything to go by, they either know she was a youngling or can smell whatever light side of the force lingering on her. And if the leaks are true... then Reva's past will play into her decision to not kill Luke or Leia because she can't kill children. Edit: all the Inquisitors are ex padawan or jedis but Reva seems not corrupted by the dark side at all. Second sister Trilla being similar. Might be a human thing.
I'm not sure why so many people are mad or confused about Ob-Wan not knowing Anakin is alive. Main thing being is he literally left him to burn alive on Mustafar of course he'd think he killed Vader. THEN let's not forget his own apprentice Ahsoka Tano HAD NO IDEA until she herself reached out through the Force with Kanan and Ezra in one of the more chilling scenes of Rebels. Vader's own response to this was "The apprentice lives." Not "MY apprentice lives." but "THE apprentice lives." Anakin himself had no idea Ahsoka was alive....Man he really wanted to distance himself from Anakin and always had trouble doing so. Especially when it came to Ahsoka during that fight. He didn't kill her immediately when she saw his face after cutting his mask. In fact he called out to her. I'm guessing if you cut yourself off from the Force it's like when an airplane suddenly goes missing from the radar; it's never found again unless someone wants to turn on the transponder. I know people are either way still mad that it was just a line dump that revealed the truth, vs Obi-Wan reaching out through the Force like Ahsoka did, but again the circumstances are quite different. Ahsoka again had NO IDEA Anakin was Darth Vader she thought he was dead. Unlike with Obi-Wan who knew who Anakin was. He'd have no need to snoop around the Force to find out. I can see him trying to reach out through the Force to try and confirm if Reva is telling the truth, only to be slammed with PTSD and either act like Jinx from Arcane when she was hit with PTSD "No, no it was a mistake, it was a mistake!" or Tony Stark, and just run, hide from it, try and deny it's happening to you. When it comes to the "rematch of the century" I hope to god they know what makes a GOOD saber fight GREAT-a good saber fight will just be fun to watch, like most things from the prequels, or sequels. Not much dialogue. A GREAT saber fight will have the dialogue and emotional stakes as well. Ahsoka vs Vader, Luke vs Vader, Obi-Wan vs Anakin are all very high emotional stake fights and Obi-Wan vs Anakin round 2 NEEDS to be that GREAT saber fight vs a good one.
The difference between Ashoka and Obi-Wan is that Obi-Wan knew he was Vader from the recordings at the temple. Working for the rebellion as fulcrum, she most definitely knew that Vader was alive and running the show underneath the empire. She did not know that Vader was Anakin though.
Also didn't Cal Kestis have no idea who Vader even is? Not just knowing he was Anakin, but he didn't really know Vader Vader until he saw him. Like when he sees him for the first time his line is "I'm guessing that's him?" like you just _hear_ stories about the terrifying entity that's Darth Vader. You know he's real but you also question what he's really like until you see him face to face. He's like a living nightmare.
@@jake12.48 I am pretty sure almost nobody talks about Vader people would hear of the Inquisitors who are Jedi hunters but since the Empire does not control Tatooine, everyone besides a few in the Imperial High Command fear him and would never want to speak about him, Obi Wan is in hiding and likely tries to avoid the news so he is not tempted to help and the fact Vader would never go to Tatooine unless he is forced to makes sense that Obi-Wan would not hear the name Vader.
@@Lord-Emperor-Vader Bullshit. Even Luke in a New Hope talks about how everyone is leaving to join the Empire. Vader's name would have been all over that place.

I kinda don’t want him to kill her she has interesting tactics she specifically said that to throw obi-wan off using that knowledge to make him emotionally weak which will lead him to make mistakes so she can find him.
Or it could be a reference to Order 66. She might not know that those two fought, but instead might've assumed Obi-Wan thought Anakin was killed with the rest of the Jedi at the Temple, but fell to the dark side afterwards.

I bet she saw Kenobi when he was exploring the ruins and he “left her for dead” (ie failed to notice her among the dead and left her thinking she was a corpse).
I think when she mentioned Vader she could sense Kenobi's feelings and read his mind to see why he had that reaction. Like she didn't know who Vader was until Kenobi's feelings betrayed him just like how Vader figured out Leia was Luke's sister.
I wonder if she put 2 and 2 together. Saw Anakin attack the temple and possibly hear him communicate with Emperor and then picks up Vader wanting only Obi for himself. Only a "betrayed" padawan would have that type of anger.
Damn, I hadn't even thought of that. Definitely within the realm of possibilities. Obi-Wan is completely out of touch with the force. It wouldn't take much effort for Reva to read his mind. Especially with how gifted she is with that ability. That said, I think there would have been more of a reaction from Reva if she found out there, on the spot. Like SWT said, Anakin was known to every Jedi, young and old. Reva would have known about him, so if she had found out right then and there, I think she would have shown some signs of being surprised, but she didn't. Then again, she is completely psychotic so it could also be possible that she just didn't care and immediately just used it to toy with Ben. Idk, it's definitely an interesting theory. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I just really hope they're not making her Vader's apprentice or use some other cheap explanation to give her plot armor against Vader. That would be really lame. So far, I have faith in this show though. With Dave Filoni having written the story and Debrah Chow directing it, I don't really see how it could go wrong. They're both compitent and understand Star Wars. Especially Dave. There's no way he wouldn't have thought about this subject. I'm sure we'll get a good explanation for this in the weeks to come
Yep... I've been saying this for days... when she walked in she said " I can feel you obi wan" and "your fear betrays you ". When she told Ben that Vader was alive, she said to Ben "you didnt know" so she was definitely probing his mind and obi wans thoughts went straight to anakin and that how Reva knew 👍 Vader will kill her for knowing too
She can close off her mind and probe others’ minds, but Vader is on a whole other level. He would be able to get inside her head, even with her resisting, with minimal effort. Meanwhile, no one is able to get inside Vader’s head without him allowing it
Idk about that. Vader is the second strongest force user in the galaxy at the time, Pappa palp being the first. I belive if Vader wanted in, that just what he would do.
@@ethanstarbuck3124 I have to disagree. How come he had to torture that Captain in ANH instead of probing his mind? How come he didn’t read Lando’s mind and see his distrust in the Empire? He’s never had that kind probing ability
So she goes into all that effort to keep it a secret then goes blabbing it into the empty space where she THINKS Obi Wan is without even seeing and subduing him first? Also she can feel Obi Wan's presence in the cargo bay but she can't feel him when she's ranting in the market? The story writing has more holes in it than a cheese grater.
My thought during the viewing was she put the pieces together while searching for Obi Wan. Because it was shown she was able to sense Kenobi's feelings as well as read minds & therefore could've felt Kenobi's mind shift to thoughts of Anakin as she said Vader. Now I know reading minds is supposed to work on the weaker willed or those not strong in the force, or at least I presumed that, but it's very clear here that Obi Wan isn't in his peak condition when it comes to force training and might have a hard time concealing his thoughts & feelings.
Irrelevant. If Vader had even an inkling that she was this powerful he would have never sent her out. He would likely have just killed her. Even more so for the fact that nothing was going to take from him the satisfaction of finding and dispatching Kenobi.
@@FirstCastMedia What archives? They do not specify. Could have been the Senate archives not the Jedi ones. However, I do agree with you because Disney is this lazy when it comes to writing. The Jedi archives would have been sealed and locked away by Palpatine no doubt. Palpatine and Vader wanted to completely erase the existence of the Jedi, not have people snooping around their past. But bad writing would have ignored that fact.
Something strange about subtleties of her character. Like when she said... "I certainly hope so". I don't think she wants to be grand inquistor or Vader's apprentice. I think she's a spy. I think she's just trying to get close enough to kill him.
To me, it is extremely clear how she would know. She was obviously one of the younglings that was shown in the episode 1 Order 66 flashback scene. She would have seen Anakin with the 501st in the temple, been one of the few younglings that wasn't slaughtered by either Anakin himself or the clones and she most likely would have heard the clones refer to Anakin as Lord Vader, since he was already given that title by Palpatine just before the Order was executed. She would have also known his real name was Anakin Skywalker anyway as he had previously been on the Jedi Council (granted without the rank of Master, but still) and that knowledge would have been well known by most, if not all the members of the Jedi, including the youngling trainees. Then, months or maybe even years later once she had become a full fledged Inquisitor, she would have had interactions with Vader and heard other Stormtroopers or Imperial Officers refer to him as Lord Vader, meaning she would simply just put two and two together. And as far as her not being dead for knowing that information, she would simply just keep it a secret. I'm sure she would be smart enough to not blurt that information out to random people in the Empire or otherwise for fear or being offed either by a fellow Inquisitor, an Imperial Officer or even Vader himself. But she did tell Obi-Wan because she could sense that he didn't know that he was still alive. This shit is not that difficult to follow people.
the problem is not how she knows, the problem is how she is an Inquisitor and is still alive she couldn't hide the fact that she knows Vader's past from him and the Emperor when they were training her she shouldn't be alive with that knowlegde
Yeah but that doesn't explain that she seems to be referencing the events on Mustafar. She emplies that she knows that Obi Wan mutilated Anakin to the point of requiring a suit. She was not on Mustafar. She can't know.

Reva’s story could be amazing really, maybe she idolised Obi Wan and when she was captured she probably expected the great obi wan would sense the younglings suffering and save them from the Empire, she probably resisted turning to the dark side for a long time, really suffering in the hope her idol Obi Wan would come to the rescue, maybe Vader used her to bring Obi Wan out at the beginning.. once she discovers why Obi Wan stayed hidden and he cut himself of from the force so couldn’t hear her reaching out for help, she will forgive him and the hate will disappear leading her back to the light.. maybe!!!
I believe that either she saw him at the temple like you suggested, or, when she mentioned Vader to Obi-Wan, she felt the shock/horror/trauma coming from him, and was able to read the information that way. Because Obi-Wan knew that Darth Vader was what Palpatine called Anakin, so it seems possible that she read his mind in that moment.
I feel like if she’d learned in that moment that Vader was Anakin that she’d have expressed more shock? Like, that could be bad acting. But she’s old enough I have a hard time believing she never heard of Anakin Skywalker. The mighty hero who supposedly died. Feels like that would be surprising information.
@@katrose5179 That's valid. Definitely lends more credence to the theory that she already knew. Maybe she knew but then realized Obi-Wan didn't after reading his mind
@@davyfromthenavy4248 that was how I took it. I think you’re right and she definitely read his mind! But I think she knew either from having overheard something during Order 66 if she was a youngling or she found something in the records.
I feel like she's definitely one of the younglings in the opening scene, and we're gonna get a big Order 66 scene where we see Anakin go to confront the younglings, but instead of killing them, he ignites his saber and tells the children that Obi-Wan and the Jedi have betrayed everyone, and that Anakin will save them from the Jedi. Then we see Jedi come in and confront Anakin, Anakin fights them, while telling the children not to trust them, some of the children run away, but one of them, a young Reya, stays & sees Anakin defeat the Jedi, and Anakin convinces her that Obi-Wan and the Jedi are the villains. Maybe we find out Reya was taken from her family or something, in the same way Anakin was taken from his mother, and Anakin uses that to get her to side with him. But I'm calling it- we're gonna get a scene where we see Anakin DIDN'T kill the younglings, he just brought them (or some of them) over to the Emperors side.
Nope . Watch episode 3 again. Yoda confirms that the younglings were killed by a light saber ... and we see censored holograms of anakin slaughtering them later on .
I never realized that Anakin lost his future sight ability after Mustafar. I think it’s because his fall to the dark side happened because he purposely blinded himself. He had to lie to himself in order to hide the shame and guilt for his actions, and because of that, his sight was severed.
I have two opinions: 1. He has so much hate/rage/pain he is blinded by it. 2. He might have learned not to trust them anymore. It sounds odd, What “killed padme” was his belief in the vision and it only turned out to be true because he tired to prevent it “interfered.”
Something I find intriguing is how the 5th brother treats Reva. He says they found her in the gutter or something like that. I think she spent time with the Rebels as a jedi, maybe Quinlan specifically since he's mentioned by name, before getting caught by Vader and pledging to be an Inquisitor. That's what sets her apart and why they despise her. She's obviously skilled at tracking Jedi, moreso than the other inquisitors, as evidenced by her finding "the Path." 5th brother is bested over and over again, but he never seemed very smart in Rebels either.
Couldn’t another theory be that when she is talking to obi she’s feeling his thoughts with the force. “Lord vader will be pleased” obi looks confused because he knows vader is anakin and thought he was dead. “You didn’t know did you? He is alive.” Obi thinks anakin is alive “that’s right anakin skywalker is alive”
@@amel3457 we can agree on that but her arch is painful predictable and she can't pull it off sadly. From what I've seen from her interviews after watching her "acting" she's more activists then actor
As Obiwan once famously said to Jocasta Nu while searching for the missing planet Kamino in Episode 2, "Impossible. Perhaps the archives are incomplete." *My simple theory* : Reva knew Anakin became Vader because she saw the COMPLETED archives (aka security footage).
I think they could've improved the scene between Reva and Obi Wan by having her relish sharing the truth about Anakin surviving and becoming Vader. Make it seem like a secret she's kept repressed in the back of her mind for years, and that she finally gets to share with someone without any consequences to her. It was so casually thrown out that it seems like she doesn't keep that fact particularly secret. If she said it a second later, the Grand Inquisitor could've easily heard it and found out the truth for himself.
She was telling Obi wan that he’s alive, which insinuates that she must have known Obi wan thought he was dead, how would she know that? She must somehow know of their battle on Mustafar, should be interesting seeing how her story unfolds.
My thoughts on that is when she first said “Lord Vader will be pleased.” It made Obi-wan think of when he first heard that name in the recordings and connected it to Anakin. At that point Reva is sensing his fear/emotions/thoughts, similar to how Vader sensed Luke’s thoughts and learned about Leia. I figure from there she connects all Obi-wan’s thoughts and tries to draw a reaction out of him.
She was saying "Lord Vader will be pleased" which confused Kenobi which she sensed. Only then she said he was alive, so go rewatch it because you missed it.
My impression was that she was reading Obi-Wan's thoughts, given that he was out of practice with the Force as evidenced by his difficulty in stopping Leia's fall.
she can't read thoughts like that the most she could do is sense emotions but even that I doubt regardless, there's no way to link his emotional response to Anakin she knew prior to that scene and that's a problem she shouldn't know
@@davidnobre5660 it's not really a problem that Reva knows who Vader is. As long as it's explained and showed to make sense which it can be. She was there during order 66 and she could have witnessed Anakin walking or killing a Jedi within the temple while a clone trooper refers to him as Lord Vader. It doesn't break canon at all considering there were a people who knew of Vader's true identity whether it was through seeing the same hologram Obi wan and Yoda saw when sidious dubbed him Lord Vader
@@nathandragmire4517 it's not how she knows, it's how she knows and still works closely with Vader, how has she become an inquisitor with that knowledge, how have Vader and Sidious not killed her and alowed her to survive with that knowledge she couldn't hide the fact that she knows from them, she doesn't have the power to do it
I think everybody should wait until the last episode before hating about „plotholes“. Filoni and his team know about the importance of things like this.
Well in the last episode she saves Luke and makes Kenobis entire existence irrelevant and his failure complete...so I would wait for the rest to save it
Think I'm more inclined to believe she sensed Obi-wan's reaction. She could've also seen him at the temple, but that would also require her having heard someone call him Vader. Not that many surviving people heard Palpatine call Anakin Lord Vader. Obi and Yoda only knew because of the archive footage. Which we can assume they destroyed that video. Could say that maybe while hiding, she heard a clone refer to him as Lord Vader and that's how she connected Anakin to Vader. But again I lean more towards them trying to flex her mind strength on noticing Kenobi mental reaction to hearing the name Lord Vader, and then connecting it to Anakin because Obi wan thinks of Anakin when she said Lord Vader.
I feel like they missed an opportunity big time , we don’t know anything about Reva we don’t care about her , there’s not enough character development. So to find out through her ? They could have done so much more with that .. Ashoka in rebels found out about Anikan while fighting him , I was really hoping for something similar.
@@veeforvendetta4126 It'll be a lagged explanation you dopes. Not much is known now, but will be after further episodes. Some may not like it done this way, but whatever.....
Surprised you didn’t mention the possibility that she read Obi-Wan’s mind. Anakin popped in his head after he heard Reva say “Lord Vader.” So it’s entirely possible that she read his mind when he thought of Anakin.
when I was in the thick of Episode 2, that last scene actually gave me goosebumps! Of course, taking a step back it does seem hard to believe that Vader could allow Reva to survive, but thanks for calmly helping us make sense of the whole thing (unlike some fan channels 😅)
4:08 My personal theory is that Anakin cannot see into the future at all. It's all just Palpatine sowing the seeds of turning Anakin to the dark side. After that objective is completed Palps deemed that there is no need to give Anakin all these visions/dreams anymore.
She could have also force probed Obi-Wan when he started having a panick attack after the mention of Vader. We don't know what the range of her power is, it's clearly more powerful than Kylo Ren. But I much believe we'll see her in another flashback of order 66. Perhaps one from Vader's point of view and we'll see her off in a hallway?
I highly doubt she’s stronger than kylo... he’s super powerful just not trained well enough in either side of the force... she obviously dies before clone wars
I’m with the theory that she likely saw him during order 66. I think she wants to prove herself to Vader. But per say i think her character has a lot of potential too 😊
@@Marco-ck4jj I'm not 100% sure if this is correct but I recall someone saying it's confirmed she was one of the taller younglings, and if this is true, it could simply just be the fact that the actor looks older than the character that's being played. I mean, let's take into consideration that Kenobi looks old by the time the original trilogy takes place, and that's only ten years after the show. He looks pretty young now, and in just ten years, he's supposed to look significantly older. Ten years can do a lot more to someone than you may think
It definitely seems like a plot hole, but it’s really plausible that she saw him during Order 66. But, even if she didn’t, we know that Reva doesn’t conform to authority, and she has clearly done heavy research into Obi-Wan; Enough to find and track him. As such, I don’t think its hard to believe that in her quest for forbidden knowledge she may have unearthed the truth about Anakin. I also think her obsession with Obi-Wan is just that: an obsession. I don’t think it goes deeper than that. I think she just feels like, as an inquisitor, she has a lot to prove, and bringing down a mythical Jedi might just prove her worth. Overall, I find her very interesting, and there’s something really cool about an Imperial character uncovering the truth about our fallen heroes. Plus her abrasive edgy personality is kind of a nice change since Boba Fett got turned into a Boy Scout. Honestly as long as Vader doesn’t know that she knows, it’s solid.
I think she might have idolized him and Obi Wan during the clone wars, and later on when she might have expressed her hatred for Ben to Vader later on, Vader might have accidentally let his guard down and she was able to get into his head.
I feel like that she didn't know that vader was anakin until she read obi wans mind. Like she said that "vader will be pleased" and after that she read obis mind and got to know that kenobi didn't know that vader was still alive. At the same time she for sure saw who vader was from kenobis mind.
@@VIKK06 I didnt even think of that... That is a very possible theory, that she found out Vader was Anakin by reading Obi Wan`s mind... That she didnt know it before then and there.
If she was familiar with Anakin from being at the temple, it seems like she could have recognized his presence just like Obi wan did when he showed up in the village. Plus if she happened to see what happened during order 66 it could have made it more clear after feeling a familiar presence. Obviously it wouldn’t have been apparent to her as it was Obiwan with them being like family, but that seems to be a pretty common thing with force users being able to since other familiar users
I think she was planted by Vader with the sole purpose of weeding out Kenobi. Explains why she is openly defiant, and knows things that only Vader would know and also conveniently affect Kenobi
I think as soon as she said “Lord Vader would be pleased” Obi wan immediately thought Anakin? Given her mind probe ability she felt him think that and quickly put that together that Vader was Anakin
I don't understand the default connection between Anakin and Vader. Maybe there was something in the animated series where ObiWan learned Vader was Anakin. But from the movies there's no connection. Kenobi left Anakin with no limbs burning on the shore of a lava flow. Luke and Leia were hidden away so the Emperor wouldn't find them, not hiding them from Anakin. Even if Kenobi overheard the name "Vader" he wouldn't automatically think "That's Anakin". I would even add that he has grown weaker by avoiding using the Force so there would be even a less chance he would "feel" his apprentice. **Edit: Got my answer. Small scene in RotS I forgot- ObiWan sees and hears Anakin conversing with the Emperor who calls him Vader. Sorry for my confusion...
@@YouNeedAHugg correct, forgot that 1 minute seen where Yoda and Kenobi see Anakin speak with the Emperor on the security cam.... wish they'd left that out so Kenobi didn't know his apprentice survived.
being cut at the waist and being stabbed in your vital organs are completely different. Maul lost no vital organs from his slice. And also look at how the GI falls and his face after he does. He looks very dead, unlike maul who was very clearly alive after being cut in half
compare the GI death to Qui Gons. Literally the exact same place stabbed. Even if the GI does survive, it's stupid story writing and a horrible scene overall.
@@paradise9151 Qui-gon didn't rely on the dark side to keep himself alive though. Sith are known to be capable of that. Forget Maul, what about Anakin? Limbs cut off, burned alive, and still walking.
@@rithrius5384 limbs being cut off means nothing. Being burnt is very different to being stabbed IN YOUR VITAL ORGANS. Besides, Anakin is far far far stronger than the Grand Inquisitor.
I think it’s because she has the ability to sort of read emotions and mind of people via the force. That’s how she knew Obi wan’s dread while revealing him Vader was alive.
Honestly that could work it can also be explained that Owen did not have a strong reaction when she was interrogating him about knowing a Jedi and she sensed he did hate the Jedi because it is true the Jedi got his step brother killed and left his nephew an orphan.
@@thebro6204 No, they are able to deduce some emotions, not really what caused them. In this case she is able to not only deduce that he was in fear and in shock, but that they were caused by the news of Anakin being alive.
I think she’s obsessed because if she takes down Kenobi that would put her on top. She may even think the Emperor would take her as an apprentice. Just my theory.
That's the thing she doesn't want to kill kenobi, she wants to capture him for Vader. The reasoning behind why she wants to do this is unknown other than "what she is owed" which wont be explained until later on in the episodes
Yeah, I see her as this overambicious chick, that seek a real challange instead of killing some hiding Jedi padawans that are really no mach for inquisitors.
Here's my problem with Reva's character...she is going to become the focus of the Kenobi show. I think the show will give her some sort of "redeeming angle" and that'll take away from the Kenobi/Vader focus. While I like a new bad guy, it just seems like Disney wants to shove her down our throat before we can even get emotionally attached to her. "Killing" the Grand Inquisitor was just dumb.
Thing is we know how both Kenobi's and Anakin's fates play out. Not much they can really tell in the in between. Reva is a connecting dot they can flesh out.
My theory is that Reva was in the temple and was the one who saved Grogu and she gave herself up to Anakin for Grogu to get away. She started showing lots of anger and he saw potential in her. Would tie into Mando S3 nicely, especially if she turns back!
Personally I think that the show showed Reva getting into peoples Minds a lot. Owen, Haja, and i think Kenobi too. She realized because she went into his head.
Reva is probably the most interesting and badass character of the series so far. She’s definitely better than the dorky grand inquisitor. I don’t get what all the hate is about when she’s one of the only characters with any intensity right now
I feel that. While i agree with some that they killed off the Grand Inquisitor early he was getting in her way and infighting is a key thing that happens among sith and other dark side users hence why the rule of two was invented. Also the character has barely been in the show and most people saying they dislike her just do so cus they think it will take away from Vader and Kenobi. I think people see the writers explaining Revas backstory as them trying to shove it down our throats and make us sympathize. Like no shes obviously an evil inquisitor but we as an audience need an introduction into her story/character.
7:40 That's a good point man, love that take, so let me explain how I would do it : I guess I would've waited like 3 episodes. So what I would do is that I would've focused all first 3 episodes on Obi-Wan trauma, Yoda's mission about Qui-Gon, and the Owen and Obi-Wan beef. And at the end of episode 3 you would see Luke. A bit like at the end of Star Wars Rebels : Twins Suns episode. With Obi-Wan looking from afar, that would give the fans more hype for the next episode. Then episode 4 would focus more on Owen and Obi-Wan beef, trauma about Anakin's death and Luke. Luke would be recurrent in that episode. Obi-Wan still looking from afar and starring to have sudden headaches and flashbacks of Anakin while looking at Luke. Then I would also put some actions with some space bandits or sand people trying to attack the family and Obi-Wan saving them at the end, and looking at Luke hugging his Aunt and Uncle because he's now safe, without knowing who truly saved him. Owen would later figure out that it was Obi-Wan who saved them and then would now accept him as Luke's protector by the end of Episode 4, We're now at night and Obi-Wan is returning to his cave with his mount creature, thinking about the events that happenned during that day, Luke and his missions to protect him so that one day he can be the new hope that the galaxy needs. But then, all of a sudden, the headaches and flashblacks of Anakin would come back and be more difficult to handle than usual. To the point that Obi-Wan could pass out in the middle of the desert. Flashbacks after Flashbacks until a sudden glimpse of Anakin/Vader appears in his mind. Anakin would also open his eyes from his bacta tank, realizing that someone strong in the force is sensing him. The force being so strong with Anakin that Obi-Wan would instantly pass out but not before realasing that Anakin is indded still alive. So basically one pass out and the other one would open his eyes. The way I would film the scene is that I would flash both perspectives back to back many times until Obi-Wan pass out completly and Anakin opens his eyes. Then I would finish episode with Vader breathing and looking at us like the end of Episode 2.
Couldn’t care less about her. This is about Kenobi and so far we’ve been dealt an injustice due to premise of Kenobis relationship and duty to Luke. The fact Leia has been a much more massive focal point over Luke literally ruined the show. These screenwriters need permanently fired.
But doesn't the fact that Reva knows just confound a plot hole that has been there all along? That they never changed the Skywalker name, and that Luke is hiding in plain sight. Now that she knows Vader is Skywalker wouldn't it be easier now to connect the dots to Luke? If she did the research to find Bail Organa couldn't she also dig and find that the Skywalker family is still on Tatooine?!
No one knew anakin had any kids. Anakin doesn’t find out until padme actually gave birth until episode 4. So it’s like Clark Kent being superman. Nobody notices he’s superman cause nobody is looking for superman in a crowd. Nobodies gonna notice Luke on Tatooine if no one is even looking for him.
I kind of find her annoying because how sbe does things like some kid rebel. I seriously hope she isn't permanent character. During the first order 66 scene i was so overwhelmed with emotions of epicness i had legit tears and shivers xD tried my best to hold tears back idk why.
Nah I don't think she's his apprentice. HOWEVER, it's possible that she's his favorite and was given the secret assignment to find and capture Kenobi. OR more realistically, she wants to be Vader's favorite. I think she realizes very quickly that Vader sees everyone as expendable.
I don't think so, in the first episode the Grand inquisitor stated to Reva that "he's not your to find" alluding that Darth Vader did not want anyone looking for Kenobi.
@@Neptunewakes I think that the GI didn't want her to find Kenobi because he sees her as the "Least of them" and he wants to find him for himself. I think they all want to find him to gain Vader's favor.
Nah lol Vader has no favorite inquisitor 😂Vader straight up hates the idea of Inquisitors. He thinks they’re all a bunch of jokes and weak in comparison to himself.
Vader trusts no one. His ego wouldn't have let him send some snarky underling for Kenobi for two reasons. He knows she had as much a chance to beat Kenobi than a fresh off the maturation chamber trooper does. And secondly, revenge was for him, nobody else. His ego tells him, he is the only one that could bring down Kenobi. This whole show is crap.
I feel like people just want to hate something, to have a negative opinion. It's Star Wars, we have New Star Wars!!!! Just enjoy, and support so we can have MORE and hopefully better Star Wars.
I also agree that she saw him in the temple, BUT my theory is that she is using obi wan to get a one on one with Vader. I believe she is looking for revenge for the murder of her friends and she knows if she captures obi wan she can personally deliver him to Vader and then she can have her chance to try and strike Vader down for his role in order 66.

Superb. I must say, I think I remember in the Tarkin book and the Thrawn book, those respective characters were basically sure he was Anakin but Vader never actually told either of them for sure.
I think Anakin believing he's killed them all, reports back to Palpatine. Palpatine refers to anakin as Lord Vader. Reva could've easily overheard this, runs away, comes back to join the empire. She sees vader in the suit and puts 2 and 2 together. She sees kenobi is a target of major interest, she's seen kenobi training anakin and that's how she correlates their connection.

Once they escaped, she blamed Obi-Wan as his master and she's been on a revenge trip every since, even going as far as to join the Inquisitors to get it.
I think the same that she saw anakin in the temple slaughtering Jedi, however I also believe she might have read obi wans mind as she told him that Vader would be proud. The reason I believe this is as she says that obi wan thinks of anakin and she sees that in his mind
It's possible but it's not unbelievable that it's common knowledge among the Inquisitorius that Vader is Anakin. I mean they know that Palpatine is a Sith Lord.
I REALLY like the theory that she knew Anakin from the temple. As you said, hearing the name Vader in the Temple, seeing Anakin, and then being introduced to Vader upon becoming an inquisitor makes sense. But, also like you said, she'd need to hide that she knew. Another way, which you alluded to but never said, is that she could have read Tarkein or Thrawn's mind. Vader would have sensed her do it to him, but Tarkein (and maybe Thrawn) would not have. The only question is, "has she ever had the opportunity?" Love the video, bro! Keep 'em coming!
i think she 100% saw him in the temple, most logical and believable theory but also the most realistic. also really want this to be the case so we get flashbacks of vader going crazy in the temple.

Awesome theory, I almost feel spoiled if this turns out to be true. Reva did cut off that innocent person's hand off though.
This is got to be the only logical answer to be honest you’ve hit the nail on the head with this one
Smart.
How old was the oldest Youngling in that scene? 10 let us say, so that makes Reva 20? She seems older than that to me.
Like who there would be talking about him
yea thats what im thinking
He was quite literally living under a rock for the past decade.
Not to mention Anakin hates sand. Perfect hiding planet
Thank you!!!! Hate how some fans are so pressed about this lol
I’m sure KENOBI had his suspicions or/and had heard about Vader. That being said he was so reclusive during this time and his main objective was of course to stay alive, train, and protect Luke. Therefore it’s understandable that he would not pursue those hunches any further.

Bingo - you are very observant!
I also thought she read his thoughts. When she mentions Vader, obiwan most likely thought Anakin Skywalker.
How about this one: I think she knows because she can read people's minds better than most. I think Vader uses her as his proxy through distant mind reading. This explains
1. How she knows Vader is Anakin
2. Why Vader lets her off the hook for knowing
3. Why the inquisitors are reluctant to really discipline her, despite her undermining them
5. Why she felt confident telling Obi Wan about Anakin (Vader communicated that she could and should probably in the hopes that Obi Wan will come for him)
@@t14dann18 That’s a really good theory!
To add to that, Ben is out in the outter rim. Republic/Empire has no influence out there so nobody even knows of Vader most likely.
he heard Anakin being called Vader by palpatine during the prequels but he might've not paid much attention to that maybe he will realize he could have known it all along if he had paid attention to that.
Dude, pay attention to one of the last scenes in RoTS. He and Yoda watched the hologram of Sidious saying "rise lord Vader".
@@jcfra420 yeah but if no one knows vader is out doing things then obi wan very likely wouldnt hear about vader to be like oh hes still alive
Keno I literally knows anakin is Vader as he saw him be called lord Vader by emperor in the Jedi temple before being sent off to mustafar
"Probably also went through his spine. But, hey, you know, worse things have happened in Star Wars."
Like Malak surviving losing his jaw.
‘half of his limbs’ is technically correct, but boy did it happen to Vader in the worst possible way!
Absolutely my theory. Makes perfect sense!
I thought the same. Just like how Vader read Luke in ROTJ and found out about Leia. She already shown she has that force power
She didn't have to read his mind...just felt his emotions with the force. Like how Kylo Ren felt Finn's shame, disgust and empathy when the Stormtroopers slaughtered those town people on Jakku
So now she’s stronger in the force than Obi-wan? That’s what you’re going with?
@@gameforce514 we’ll remember she can look into minds and force answers without them saying anything . That how she found out where Obi was with leia b4 she told him

No one knows. Maybe he didn't bother slaughtering them after they have 'helped him so much with getting rid of evil Jedi in the Temple'

Unfortunately though, it does feel like with the direction it’s going in, its just gonna be a carbon copy of Trilla in Jedi: Fallen Order. Hopefully she gets cut down by Vader in Ep 3 or 4 after he finds out she knows who he is and that’s the last we see of her. completely agree
That's Disney in a nutshell..
I think she doesn't stop because she has a need to impress Vader or the other inquisitors.
@@RedPandaGamingandReacts Yea but the point here is that they just tell her no, and do nothing about it.

Like everyone else had said, I think Reva and the other younglings ran into Anakin at the Temple thinking they were safe only for him to ignite his lightsaber and start attacking them.
Well said.

I bet she saw Kenobi when he was exploring the ruins and he “left her for dead” (ie failed to notice her among the dead and left her thinking she was a corpse).
Yeah that was my thoughts too!
I think thats very likely as well.
When she told Ben that Vader was alive, she said to Ben "you didnt know" so she was definitely probing his mind and obi wans thoughts went straight to anakin and that how Reva knew 👍 Vader will kill her for knowing too
This is the same conclusion I reached. She didn't know until Obi-Wan gave it away in that moment.
I feel like she’s able to close off her mind along with probing others minds, that’s why she’s able to hide it from Vader

So she goes into all that effort to keep it a secret then goes blabbing it into the empty space where she THINKS Obi Wan is without even seeing and subduing him first?

The story writing has more holes in it than a cheese grater.
My thought during the viewing was she put the pieces together while searching for Obi Wan. Because it was shown she was able to sense Kenobi's feelings as well as read minds & therefore could've felt Kenobi's mind shift to thoughts of Anakin as she said Vader. Now I know reading minds is supposed to work on the weaker willed or those not strong in the force, or at least I presumed that, but it's very clear here that Obi Wan isn't in his peak condition when it comes to force training and might have a hard time concealing his thoughts & feelings.
This is my theory as well.
Seems like a sensible theory. I had something vaguely similar.
Irrelevant. If Vader had even an inkling that she was this powerful he would have never sent her out. He would likely have just killed her. Even more so for the fact that nothing was going to take from him the satisfaction of finding and dispatching Kenobi.
He was in her presence beforehand seemingly undetected... She got the Leia idea from the archives

Yes! I thought the same here.
if i read someones mind and found out that Vader is Anakin i would be shocked. She wasnt shocked at all
Then how come she didn’t know uncle Owen was lying?
Literally

the problem is not how she knows, the problem is how she is an Inquisitor and is still alive
she couldn't hide the fact that she knows Vader's past from him and the Emperor when they were training her

There was, yes. During Episode III. It wouldn't make sense for the Empire to leave that out there for anyone to stumble upon. We'll see, I guess.
She also said she went through the jedi archives. My thought was that she came across the hologram in her research.

@@couph so you're assuming Vader knows that Reva knows his past?
I mean for real. That's exactly what I thought too when I saw the scene play out.
My thought also
I feel like if she’d learned in that moment that Vader was Anakin that she’d have expressed more shock?
I’ve been thinking something similar. Or that he goes to kill that group and maybe she is the only one that puts up a fight and it impresses him.

He’s half machine…he lost some of his power due to this…anyways that’s how it was way back…
Something I find intriguing is how the 5th brother treats Reva.

Nah, Vader is too powerful
Vader would have killed her instantly the minute he felt her probe his mind. He’s murdered so many people ON THE SPOT the everything.
She did not probe Owen’s mind, atleast not sufficiently. Obi-Wan was literally around the corner.
And she reacted like telling a life long secret, not someone learning something for the first time.

7:40 That's a good point man, love that take, so let me explain how I would do it :
I guess I would've waited like 3 episodes.
I feel like we'll definitely learn more about Reva's backstory in the next episodes

@@missboohbooh she sensed obi wans thoughts very well. She sensed that obi wan didn't know that vader was still alive. At the same time she surely saw
that vader was anakin
@@VIKK06 it’s a viable theory tbh but to me it kinda felt like she already knew that vader was anakin.
@@VIKK06 that's not a good theory
she can't read minds like that
much less from *Obi-Wan Kenobi*
Can you imagine if the big twist, is that Reva saved Grogu?
And as they were escaping, hiding and lurking in the shadows, that's when she saw Anakin, do all the messed up things he did (younglings).
