The one thing I love so much about Alec's songs is that even if you are listening to his songs eyes closed, you can literally picture the scenario according to the lyrics in your head. There is something about the way he narrates a story...
His songs are so calming. It fits while it's raining outside. It fits while going on a drive. It fits while in a happy chill mood. It fits while you are even gloomy.
This is my favorite one of his songs. As a person who's been abused I can tell you that even this song is him reaching out to people in this situation. I heard this for the first time right after I left my husband of 19 years who was extremely abusive, I married him to get away from my drug addict parents who were abusive. In those situations it is really hard to tell the truth or accept help. Thankfully I got out and got therapy to not continue to choose those people to have in my life. If you know someone who suspect is being abused just tell them you are there whenever they need you even if it's just to talk about silly stuff that doesn't matter.

Alex Benjamin is definitely a comfort singer for me. His songs have such a soft, yet deep and personal feeling to them. This one especially is just so nice, and it's great to listen to a male singer like himself express concern towards situations regarding domestic abuse and openly offer comfort to people going through that. He's so good 💙

I don't actually think that there is such thing as privacy when it can cost the life of another person. Like if you hear noises that you know for a fact someone is in danger call the police of have someone to come with you at least just so your life wouldn't be in danger as well
