    I love the "delicate" way you paint with such a light touch ,but achieving fantastic results.

      Thank you for such a lovely comment - I believe that using a light touch and soft brushes works best in watercolour painting (at least for me), as it feels that I do not "disturb" the paint too much and this lets the paint do its beautiful thing. So I am glad you noticed it in my videos!

    I just finished painting along with you on this one. I’m finally getting the hang of it! I’ve decided I like the cold press better than hot press. Thanks for such good instructions! I’ve looked at other tutorials and tried to follow others, but I definitely don’t vibe with them. I can follow you easily and my paintings are actually turning out! Plus, I’ve been able to venture out and do some of my own pictures and I’m having success. Yay! I’m so excited to doing something completely different. I’m probably never going back to oils because watercolors seem to be my new love 😉

    I picked this one because i thought it would be easier. Right off the bat with skies I learned other wise. But I stuck with it and my result is satisfactory and more importantly I keep learning. Thank you.

    Beautiful textures. Are you painting from tube paints? Are they pretty watery?

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  Год назад

      Thank you 😊 I use tube paints but I squeeze the paints into my well palette and let them dry first. I re-wet them by spraying them with water before the start of each painting session - this gives me the paint consistency I am after

    Beautiful painting, I usually paint on Arches paper 300gsm/140CP. I would love to try the Baohong Academic CP140, but in Quebec Canada, not yet find😢. On Amazon Canada was able to find 7X10 inches bloc CP140, this will give me a chance to try the paper. Does this paper equivalent to Arches paper? Thank you in advance 🌸💛☀️🧡

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  Год назад

      Baohong have two kinds of watercolour paper blocks - the Academy (student version) and the Master’s Choice (professional version). I started using Academy but then switched to Master’s Choice which is more readily available here in Australia and there are more size options. Do you have the Master’s Choice version available in Canada?
      I can buy Academy from Amazon only. I still buy it and use it as it is excellent value for money - to me it performs very similarly to the professional version, it may have slightly less pronounced texture but it holds washes really well. I have not used Arches for a couple of years so it’s hard to compare but from what I remember Baohong Academy is not too far behind.
      Hope it helps!

      Thank you for sharing your taught and knowledge of the Baohong paper. Amazon doesn’t have the Master’s Choice version. Have you ever work with the Hahnemuhle Collection paper?

    You say that your brushes are "soft" would my synthetic sable brushes be suitable to achieve a similar result.?

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  3 месяца назад +1

      I normally use synthetic squirrel as they are the softest ones but the sable ones should work too, they are just less floppy in my experience.
