At 3;44, You spoke exactly what I was praying about. I felt this way after Asuza and I have been asking God to have it back. I have even been going to curtain well know preachers churches looking for it.

Great encouragement, although the comment at 17 min about allowing ourselves to be abused by church leadership (read:pastor) is really not the best comment. I have run into soooo many mature, normal people who have been abused.The problem really lies in the pastoral leadership model. There are 4 other leadership types in Eph 4, not to mention 1Cor 12:28.Untill the pastoral leadership model changes , as it did in the 60's Jesus movement this 'revival' movement will be hindered time wise.Father is not going to allow a repeat of the 60's movement that was directly fathered/ mentored by pastors as the ONLY leadership type, this an opinion only from 35 yrs of being pastored and pastoring as a junior pastor!.Seems like everybody is a pastor, we even have pastors for the pastors! ha ......I am enjoying the ride now=seing 95 people healed of physical ailments in the last year and a half!!!!!
I actually read your comment at app 10 minutes in, so I listened specifically to hear what you heard. As we grow in following Jesus our hearts grow. I know a season not so long ago, I would have said what you said. May I add a different, simple perspective. Let's be thankful Jesus didn't have that attitude, or we'd all be doomed to hell. His eyes were on us, not Himself. Can you see Jesus saying, I'm out of here....I've had enough of this abuse. :) Be blessed!

I am finding that as I learn and take on my identity in Jesus instead of works or trying to please others who I am told I must please to make God happy, that in this new identity I am actually free to let others see me as they will and it tends more and more to slide off of me without touching me. Jesus endured the cross because of the joy He saw on the other side and so I can too. As I am becoming independent of what man thinks I am finding that the love of God really does transcend every thing else. I don't' care what others think anymore if it is negative or they treat me less than ... I just smile and tell myself Jesus loves them too and I'm not part of their journey and they aren't part of mine. It frees me to love them just where they are. I am becoming empowered in God's love and people see it and I don't even have to say anything. This is really awesome and so much fun!
I don't think he is telling us to allow abuse by leadership. There isn't a person who hasn't been misused/abused by some form of leadership. Just don't allow it to run your life.
rpiepho365, hi there. It's true that pastor do abuse their members in church, emotionally or rather Spiritually. I was led to pray for our pastor for almost 25 years. And finally, there was just a little result. But yet I should still be praying. Trust me, God has His way to deal with every issue in the church. We just have to wait patiently. Agreed but he doesn't use it for when he needs true accuracy. He just uses it for another perspective. He refers to the Greek when he's going for accuracy.
