Another cool Japanese rock/metal band is X Japan, they have a lot of really good songs and I recommend checking out Art of Life (just a heads-up, it's a legit 30 minute-long track but it's still really damn good)

I know exactly what you mean by these tabs being wrong, because so many of the Dream Theater songs are tabbed like this where the solos and riffs are so incredibly off, it's like a bot takes the notes and tabs them in a way that makes absolutely no sense at all to actually play. I've found the songs that use this "tabbing method (if you can call it that)" are the ones that have open strings all over the solo for some inexplicable reason when no human person would look at it and say "yeah that tab looks about right". It HAS to be some very flawed automatic charting program, I refuse to believe a sane person would actually tab everything like that.
I can imagine loads of charters find the right note in one place and say yep, ill chart it all around here, instead of finding the actual best place to play it
