Very simple and clear. Nice work!
buen video, funciono todo ok, gracias😀
Nice work.
Thank you! My needs are pretty simple and I didn't want to install agents just for an "up or down" status in Zabbix. This worked wonderfully!
Great, glad to hear it. Thanks for sharing Adam.
My Zabbix don't have the ping template, can you guide how to have it?
Hi, Where can i get that ICMP ping template.
Hi, thank you for this. One problem that I encounter is I'm not able to receive an email/update after the machine is already up and running. Can you help. Thanks
Is there any per-requisites for using the ICMP Ping template. Because i set it us exactly like you showed but my latest data stays blank even though the device i am trying to monitor is reachable? Do i need FPING?
Shouldn't be any pre-req's or requirement for fping. Try ensuring your host is in fact replying to pings. Are you able to ping the host successfully from the command line? If not, then Zabbix isn't going to be able to ping this host either and you will need to investigate the host further and find out why it's not responding to ping. Possibly a firewall blocking.
I have the same issue, let me know if you have fixed that, thanks!
👍
hi how can i make the same thing to ssh if there is anyone try to make bruteforce attack on ssh
You can use OpenCanary
Great video thank!
so Google disabled the less secure apps thing. You now have to go into your google Security settings, enable zwo factor authentification. After that you reload the page and than you can set a Apppassword. It generates a Password and you use that in the mail settings from zabbix.
Thank you for sharing. @5:50 it states 'on May 30, 2022, this setting will no longer be available', though I did forget to mention this in the video.
