o my stars - Michael Hurley - baritone ukulele cover with original paintings

I fell in love with this Michael Hurley song when i first heard it.
This recording was made in 2022, with original water colour paintings I made.
To illustrate the song, I made up a story about a girl who lives in a room in a basement.
Every morning, she goes up and out of her room to visit her father who lives under a tree. He is ALWAYS seen sitting under a tree. The girl brings a flower for her papa every time she visits him. Then she goes to check out what her friend, Mr. Whale is doing. Mr. Whale lives in a tall, slim building much like a light house, except that it is not a light house but more like a tower of a building. The girl is not sure if the building is a church or a prison. She just knows that Mr. Whale is always at the window of the tower looking out whenever she walks past.
The girl ends her daily wander by looking at the stars from the mountain.
It is not easy getting up to the mountain top but the girl does it every day, because the view from up there always gives her a feeling of peace and joy, and hope.
