Love Palpatine! Awesome list. Appreciate the focus on Imperials; i appreciate that it'll be harder to stick to that with set 2, but running Palpatine at the head of Imperials is just so fluffy.

Sounds like if affordability isn't a concern then this deck wants an Avenger as the top end.

Avenger would certainly fit. My concern would be that it’d push the deck over the line in terms of power level but if you have a spare one lying around I’d definitely give it a shot.
