I’m from Birmingham, but had two work meetings in Leeds several years ago which was a great reason to visit, and even then it looked good. Glad things are developing even more, as these videos are great for promoting yourselves. And you are very polite, by the way.
@narenderkaur2942 Awh lovely, I have never been to Birmingham, would love to visit! Yes, things seem very positive at the moment in both Leeds and Manchester! Thank you so much that's very kind! ❤️🙏
As per usual a nice compact and and easy to follow video, cant wait to see Leeds with its continuous growth, there is so much more to come, msybe even a building thst breaks the 50 floor mark😊
I love the trend of skyscrapers rising across Europe - it’s about time. Currently, even Southeast Asian countries with a GDP per capita 10 times smaller than most European nations have more impressive cities and simply look wealthier. You don’t see Europe’s wealth reflected in its urban landscapes as much, especially given its high GDP and GDP per capita. I know not everyone is a fan of this, but I love modern skyscrapers and large, impressive infrastructure, so I’m happy with this direction. I hope our European cities continue building thousands more skyscrapers in the coming years. No one serious could think our cities will look the same for decades or centuries. We have thousands of small towns in Europe. People who are not fans of big infrastructure or large cities, could always move to countryside or a smaller town with a population of 10k.
@Mr__Singularity I totally agree with everything you've said! I wish people didn't moan about skyscrapers in Manchester and Leeds, if they want historic England then York or Chester is the best choice! I find it exciting that Leeds and Manchester are growing so quickly! 😀
Hello from London 🎉🎉🎉 love this video and have subscribed because of it. I used to think “poor Leeds is probably getting left behind my manchesters boom” but thanks to this I can see Leeds is going through a boom of its own and I’m so pleased about that I’m going to plan a trip to see the place for myself. Keep up the great content buddy 🎉🎉🎉
@jackjames3190 Hi! Aw thank you so much! ❤️ I love London, but not been since 2009, it's quite expensive! 😩 I would love a visit to Canary Wharf! Leeds is getting it's time now too! It's very exciting, just hard to keep up now there's more and more slipforms growing all over the city! 😅 Really glad you enjoy watching! ❤️🙂
Excellent video Reece, great footage and very informative as always. I'm from Leeds and it's always fantastic to see my home town growing ever bigger and more cosmopolitan and impressive... I can't wait to see what the next 10 years of development brings for Leeds.... Hopefully, we'll see a glass skyscraper cluster, topping 200m like Deansgate in Manchester and eventually even a mass transit system, bringing Leeds more on par with other larger cities like Manchester and Birmingham. Fantastic job, keep up the good work Reece and I'm subscribed and looking forward to future videos from you 😊
@markolegend3011 Thank you for such a lovely comment! It's exciting isn't it? All these developments growing and the skyline getting more and more dramatic! It would be great if Leeds gets a transit system! Awh thank you so much 💓 Glad you enjoy watching! I'm hoping to go to Manchester soon, but don't know when... I will go though that's for sure! ❤️
@skurinski Hello! I would love a holiday in Portugal, beautiful place! 😍 It is, I love how there's a range of different architecture around the city, it's not all simular or the same! ❤️
Great video Reece their is plenty going on at leeds rn triangle yard is nearly topped out and it’s tall the building behind it at 25floors is gona have a 33floor tower at the side of it and a 19 floors tower next to the 33 one the evening site will be putting up at 43floor tower with a 32 and 25 along side it making the west end very dense with towers which is my view of the city I also think sky plaza looks less cheap cladding and is lighter imo I like it tbh.
@Kane-y3p Hello! Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed watching! Yes, the western fringe is gonna have a big city welcome to it in the coming years! I didn't mind sky Plaza before tbh, but I would've preferred it with black on the Southside aswell as the north. 😃
@@reecyvidz I didn’t mind sky plaza before myself tbh I just think they needed to do it because of the new tower’s going up next to the arena a 135m glass tower as been proposed and it’s designed by SimpsonHaugh and it’s very impressive I love SimpsonHaugh I hope they design more in leeds and the owner of the merrion wants to build a 35 storey tower opposite side of the road of unite buildings the area would have 5 of Yorkshires tallest buildings in that one area and hopefully the hexagon tower gets built at 145m tower (nearly leeds first true skyscraper) amassing to 45floors it will be positioned behind triangle yard although Manchester as the most impressive skyscrapers I think leeds will beat Manchester in aesthetics because leeds have positioned their building better imo.
@Kane-y3p I love Simpson Haugh's designs, especially Beetham Tower Manchester, I agree, Leeds has its towers more central compared to Manchester, and there's a range of architecture whereas Manchester is very much simular they should think more out of the box with their designs! I do like Sky Plaza, I just thought as an improvement, but it's still very nice and unique, there's no building like it. 🙂❤️
There are two beasts planned at the bottom of Wellington Street. All the taller towers built in the last 20 years have had to be reclad or had some work on them. I've seen similar in Manchester near the CIS Tower (which is still perfect) Sky Plaza is just having the dangerous cladding replaced. I prefer the dark colour at the other side best.
@RedversCross I have seen proposals, looks very promising and exciting! 😲😀 Ahh, I was hoping Sky Plaza would've had a change to it, would look good with a dark front too, but then I like it when it surprises people from the dark side as it looks a completely different building 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
I can't believe it's been 8 months since your last Manchester development tour! so much has changed since then, so much progress, are you planning to visit anytime soon?
@mi...... Hello, I will be going back, hopefully soon! I'm very focused on Cirrus Point in Leeds at the moment, I am going back to see it top out in the coming weeks. I will be going back to Manchester though! ❤️

skyscrapers are tacky and do not make a city "look wealthier"!!
