Paola Ogechi Egonu (born 18 December 1998) is an Italian female volleyball player of Nigerian heritage. She plays for Imoco Volley and is part of the Italy women's national volleyball team. She participated at the 2018 Montreux Volley Masters, 2018 FIVB Volleyball World Championship, and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League.
On club level she played for Club Italia in 2015. She was selected to play the Italian League All-Star game in 2017. In 2017 she moved to AGIL Novara.
She was awarded the prize for Woman of the Year 2019 by the weekly magazine of la Repubblica D - la Repubblica delle donne.

i think Paola will reach her best at 23/24 years, so now is wonderful and the best world opposite, but she can still improve for the next years.
Watch her matches in Seria A. Not only that her attack is always around 60% or even higher her defence become so good. She is already at THE TOP of womens volleyball. Watch her match in next week CL performance especially against Fenerbahce.

If Italy wants to win the Olympic Gold Medal in Tokyo, Paola Egonu needs help from the outside. She is already a beast in the Opposite side but let's admit it that she can't do it all alone. She'll be marked by the opponent's blockers. She needs someone to help her in the scoring from the Outside. Sylla needs consistency, Bosseti needs to work on the variation of her attacks. The Italian team needs consistent middle blockers if they want to stop the spikes form the likes of Zhu, KYK, Tandara, Robinson, etc.. De Gennaro can take care for the digging and receiving chores. The team needs to work more on their receives and middle plays. Zhu Ting from China is a good player, KYK from South Korea is a good player, Boskovic is a beast and the rest of the Serbian Team are good players, and the USA players are deadly too. While Egonu is THE ONE TO BEAT but of course, it's a team game. I'm predicting China, USA, Serbia, Italy and Brazil in the top 5.

Allora prendiamo ad es Zhu (h 200,00) con braccia alzate raggiunge 240-45 cm. + salto da fermo 50-55 cm (è già molto, non tutte riescono) TOTALE cm. 290-300 . Egonu in pipe può colpire palla a 320-340 cm. SOPRA IL MURO!|!! a più di un metro sopra la rete (H 224 cm.) ...al BLOCCO necessita una SCALA eheheh.
