C36 AMG Horsepower

We took a 1996 C36 AMG Mercedes-Benz to Weistec and put it on the chassis dyno. Even with nearly 500,000 miles on it, the C36 still generated 260 horsepower, which isn't far off from the factory rating of 276 horsepower. We then handed the keys to OPTIMA-sponsored racer, Tanner Foust and had him lay down a lap at Willow Springs Raceway. Had a 1997 C36 from new and just sold it three years ago. Had 189,000 miles and my gosh, mine fared so much better than this example. I guess the owner of this one neglected some of the interior and exterior issues...but seems she did the required mechanical maintenance. I really miss mine, it was such a pleasure to drive, and was such a sleeper on the road. A few mustang drivers had WTF moments when they tried to leave me from a light.
