Aircraft can't move during alignment process ,

alignment of the inertial navigation system is a physical leveling and alignment but the alignment of the inertial reference system is a mathematical computation inside the compute of the inertial reference system , it takes from 10 to 2o mins of the time to allow the aircraft to aligned at the mid latitudes and takes longer than that at the higher latitudes, and the aircraft can't move during the alignment process , also if the alignment process failed during flight , the re alignment can't be done then during flight and all navigational data may be loss , attitude data may still be available.
