"of course all the loads will be in the middle" (AC coupled batteries). This is exactly the question I am trying to find an answer to. So it's not "of course"!!! How is the AC current from a solar panel system connected to your home electrical devices? Before solar panel systems all your home electrical energy came from the grid. The energy supply enters the home through a cable which passes through a meter before it is divided into separate groups. Each group is then connected to one of more of your home electrical devices (lighting, airco, cookers, fridge, etc.). But how are solar panel inverters (and batteries) connected to this electrical supply system from the grid?
Are there any other options other than Victron/Fronius to create a similar AC/DC coupled system? Unfortunately the Victron inverters have not yet been approved to AS/NZS4777.2 so can't be used for a hybrid grid tied system.
Epic video as always !! Was wondering if you need to fuse the negative cable of the battery as well as positive in lynx distributor as being in parallel ? Cheers Tom
Good pickup Tom. Yes, AS/NZS 5139 (new battery standard) requires both poles in parallel strings to be overcurrent protected. This could be done at the battery module end but as the Lynx only have single pole fusing, they can't be considered string overcurrent protection alone.
@@SmartEnergyLab so if you added additional lynx distributor for the negative side and fused and went into a double pole battery switch that would be compliant ?
Hi Paul, that's so strange... two people have both reported that the audio isn't working yet many others have had no problems (including myself). Would you mind confirming that the audio doesn't work for you on a different device?
@@SmartEnergyLab Audio only works for me if I use both airpods. If I play back to a single, I get very quiet sound - not intelligible. It does playback from my ipad but sounds quite odd,
@@gchlentzos Thanks George... I'll investigate this strange problem. My challenge is that I can't replicate it on any of my devices (laptop, phone, ipad, PC).

Great video. Love the passion!
Interesting stuff

maybe have a look at Pixii?

Hi Glen,
The audio did not work for me.
Check your settings. Audio works for me on the published version.
@@SmartEnergyLab not really, you only recorded the Left audio channel, anyone listening with one earbud in, the right one and no audible audio!
Actually something weird happening, if you have both earbuds in Ok, but mono is trashed, so plug in both earbuds to be able to listen to this
Audio doesn’t work for me either...
