if you don't bring an alpaca, you can deploy the llama and have it follow you like a pet.
means you can fight without putting it down/picking it back up.

Kill the llamas to respawn baby ones. You can easily do it with a greatsword because the jump attack cripples move speed. If you abduct or kill only the baby ones then an adult will replace it.

so i found a level 21 llama its around 2 other adult llamas but i have been sat here for about 20 mins and its not gone into the trap it has llama feed in it so where am i going wrong xD or is it just being stubborn ?

Not to sure, the baby's should walk to the feed and get trapped, as long as the traps is close to them.
