McGirr is not long for that position after the brutal reception his show received.
I love Seán's energy, I am very excited to follow his journey. What an incredibly difficult job he has! I can't even imagine the pressure and the weight that is on him. But he seems like a breath of fresh air and like I already said - he has great energy.
It's wild to hear all the people being interviewed rave about the show. I wish we also got some more honest reactions as well. But seems like no one dares to say anything is bad these days. All we ever get are the cliches "oh I loved it", "so young and youthful". It's cringe to watch and listen to. The show was not good and is getting panned widely on social media and by critics like Vanessa Friedman (thank god someone spoke some truth).
This show is like a revenge from a hater who wont to destroy the brand legacy.
New Energy? well that certainly stepped on lee's legacy. . . .
This show was a huge flop. I was a caricature of McQueen. Looked more like the diffusion line McQ
Even McQ is better than this. Should make a new garbage diffusion line “Alex”
The collection was horrendous.
he is out !!!!
Love these
😂no one cares

never heared so vague and generic answers any designer could use… he talks literally like… the most basic student in a fashion school. inspo is literally a moodboard a basic student would add to a pinterest board cause thought it’s „cool”… nothig interesing no psyhology. the most „tragic” and „macabre” thing about the inspirations was the „broken iphone” if thats the inspo then… yea it shows. the level and thought behind it all. guy could never meet the expectations with such lack of abilities.
it looks like jw anderson tried to designe mc queen…
amm soo tornnn I really love the house but this direction I don't know it's like mcqueen loosing that romaticism woman warrior edge I'd could only imagine if they got IRIS VAN HERPEN instead it'll totally send the brand BEYONDDDD!!!!!!!
is it the lighting or sean looks so good for 40??
What a poor excuse of a comment
he is 35 not 40
It’s was a nervous collection. He tried to fit so many ideas into one collection. Hopefully, he worked that nervousness out and we could see a more free collection next season.
This is the big leagues u are either up to the task or u aren’t. This is garbage. Imagine showing in Paris and being this nervous
@@jonnyfendi2003 I think on show studio they were saying it’s the same type of person getting these jobs and also given so many chances. So a lot of people agree with you.
This was the first McQueen collection since Lee's passing that I felt I lost Lee for a second time. Sarah was able to channel Lee in all of her collections and it always felt as though he was still there. This collection completely missed the mark for me.
It's hard to bash a show. A lot of work, time, and money went into it. I'm a designer and I know how passionate the team must be. HOWEVER, it was not a good show. The fault lies with management for choosing a designer who is under prepared for the level and pressure designing for a major house like Alexander McQueen. Heck, Alexander McQueen himself struggled with the pressure but the man had a vision for his brand. That's what this collection lacked, vision.
I loved the show! I’m really excited to see what’s next. I think it was a lot of pressure on him but what he delivered wasn’t TERRIBLE.
I see the references and his new age touch. McQueen for the new generation. I don’t remember any of Burtons shows being as extravagant as Lee’s and the clothes were good but we need this new take on McQueen.
So how much does a collection did you actually buy?
This isn’t McQueen and this young man doesn’t have a clue what the house of McQueen is all about. The collection was an abysmal mess and I’m sure Alexander McQueen would be appalled if he were here. So sad to see.
this collection is so ugly
amazing energy ! what this brand needs !
Biased journalism.
This is not Mcqueen. This show just JW anderson. Seán has to wake up.
He got so much weight on his shoulders
McQueen is about having a message?...about the atmosphere?... what a generic bland statement...jeez
Horrible collection
The simpletons raving after the show were pathetic....SMH..
It is just pathetic to see this people giving their opinions on the show trying desperately to pretend that they liked, specially Sophia Neophitou, cmon woman, you have critizized better collections than this and now all you say is ; I love love love. Just pathetic, needless to say anything about the collection.
I don’t love it!
