It’s so interesting to hear her insight because so many of us simply don’t think like a true narcissist. The fact that he positions his family like pawns not because he thinks they’re capable of those jobs, but because he can control them. That family member is little more than a prop like putting a cardboard cutout of himself on the door.
And the fact that having family at his hearing makes no difference to him. Moral support is a completely foreign concept to him. That wouldn’t have any benefit to the outcome of the trial so there’s no reason to be there. However he does see a benefit to having his fans there. They make him feel important and in control. They can cause chaos and take the control of the courtroom away from the judge. They’re useful because they’re crazy and easy to manipulate.
A normal person simply isn’t going to think in those terms, so I appreciate her insight and ability to point these things out to people.

Trump has complained bitterly that he can't defend himself but, in a trial, the accused always has the opportunity to testify in his own defense on the witness stand. Courtroom trials are not intended to be tried on the streets or in the media. Trump seems confused about this. He should take the stand and defend himself if he's innocent. By declining to take the stand, a defendant looks like he's got something to hide. Defending your innocence is what the stand is for in a trial! No more whining! Take the stand for God's sake!

Any other American would be in jail. The fact that the judicial system of the US does not seem to be able to handle this character is a sad indictment of one of the primary offices of America. I don't think the guard rails are strong enough. This is very serious and I worry that the electorate are not sufficiently aware of the dangers.

I'm 66 years old and honey bunch is a very old term which was used by everyone, young and old. You just don't hear that term of endearment being used much anymore, especially among young people. The first 48 hours in a jail are the worst ! Most go thru a small psychological collapse . Phone addiction and withdrawal is real. After that one starts adjusting. Although at 78 years old it will be much harder.
And he needs a nice weekend to adjust to some realistic goals.

If you look back at Michael Cohen interviews from a while back he expressed that Trumps one great fear is jail - he is terrified. Part of him would want to be a matyr but most of him would not want to go anywhere near a cell without a phone, out of his suit in into prison wear, being searched, sitting alone in a cell without any television or stimulations, eating their food, using their bathrooms, without his staff, makeup and minders. He would be terrified of that experience even if it were for 48 hours.
It’s funny because cohen is a liar who was going to jump off a building because he feared jail time.
