As always superb! I love Stanage Edge. Went there on Christmas Day couple years back and there was a Santa doing an abseil on the rocky bit. Nice to see you bagged a Trigg point too. Lovely little camp spot and Brewdog IPA 🍺 good choice! PS you might want to edit the video title. Stabage edge sounds like a horror film 🔪 😅
What a lovely video, Ant! We do not appreciate half the wonderful scenery in this country - particularly the Pennine country. Looking forward very much to more of these explores. How brave you are to camp overnight, too!
Excellent camp and video. The sighting tower information was unexpected and interesting. You and Patrick Dickinson do a great job showing off the Peak District. Here it's -23˚C and a bit cold for a wildcamp. Cheers from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
I love Pat's channel, I've learnt so much invaluable information about camping and hiking gear from his videos just love his personality and energy too.
Mmmmm......very interesting. What a lovely way to contemplate life. I quite envy you your intrepid spirit. Your musical choice is also individual to you.
Yes please Ant, look forward to more of these videos. As a fairly old guy who used to do such things, it's nice to see you younger people doing this and sharing for others to see.
Thank you for sharing. Beautiful scenery & amazing colours. What an adventure camping there & watching the sunrise. Hope you have a great week. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
That was worth a camp out just to wake up to that scenery and the peace of first thing in the morning, beautiful. I'd have been up most of the night with the sound of that running water!!!!!!!!
Thanks Ant. What a great video this was. Some spectacular scenery too. Love the outdoors and especially camping in the right conditions too. Thanks again for a great video and happy new year to you. All the best
@@TrekkingExploration It's been as cold as -24˚C here in the last week and I've got a bug to top it off. Being able to still have a wildcamp is quite a treat. Thank you for taking us along and I look forward to more of this type of content. Just from observation, a trek, a wildcamp, great views, and a great meal seems to be a winning recipe on RUclips. You have a true talent for this type of video and the historical aspects especially with civil infrastructure ads a bonus. Hats off to you, Sir.
That was such a beautiful video thanks Ant. Would love to see more of this type. The views were spectacular. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please take care
Reminds me of the weekend I spent sleeping in Robin Hoods Cave on Stanage Edge itself in the early 90s. Just a marvellous place to wake up, albeit a bit chilly!
Ant, I didn't see the water heater for the shower. Now that I think about it, I didn't see a shower...... What a fun way to spend a few days. Thanks for sharing.
High Neb and Stanage Pole in one video. Are you ticking off Ethels as you go, Ant? I, for one, would welcome more hiking and camping videos because you always give such amazing supplementary information, too. Nice to see Alex Webster (trigs_revivalman) has painted High Neb. Another great video, Ant. I'd be interested to know if there is anything left of the inclined railway at Ladybower too. I know the track won't be there, but I wonder what remains. Thanks for sharing, Ant. I really enjoyed this video as I always do.
Nice one. I brought a tent last year and pland to go out and about in North Wales with a friend but didn't get around to it till it was too late in the year to really camp out. We now plan to go to North Wales in late spring this year.
What a great video , we would love to see more like this . Particularly liked the camping part and what you were having for dinner . Patrick Dickinson does similar videos which are always entertaining! Looking forward to more of your great videos .
An adventurous hike this video. Hopefully you had a restful sleep. Always a terrific video to see. Thank you for the time involved with it. See you on the next, Ant. 😊
Excellent video- I love the old railway line treks but this was a nice change- yes more of the same is fine whilst still doing the railway line treks please
Another cracking video Ant - think I’m going to categorise that as a CLOG 😂, Camping Log (everyone’s all too familiar with Vloggers and Bloggers so your officially now a Clogger). Reminds me (well the deep sleep bit) of when you have a little nod on holiday when down on the beach and you can hear the sea lapping up. Stunning countryside blended in with another amazing Industrial Revolution engineering marvel underneath where you slept (the 7 mile tunnel out of sight). Look forward to your next Clog 👍
Another Great Video ! I Miss the peak District since we moved up to the Scottish Highlands but great to see all the action in these videos. You should come up to Scotland and do a walk along the Whisky trail in the Spey valley. So many old railway walks up here. If you camp at night just watch out for hungry Haggis 😁🤔🤣
Looks like you had a great experience, Ant. More of these videos would be fantastic, there's the famous cabin at Oyster Clough that I've seen a fair bit on social media.
Another great video Ant. You'll probably notice yourself, but you've got a 'Stabage' typo in the title and description. Don't miss out on new people looking for 'Stanage'. 👍
Nice one, I always thought it would be a bit too buggy to sleep there! If you've not been yourself yet, the cabin at Oyster Clough is more like a bothy (luxury) but you could try the ones up on Ronksley Moor for a wilder cabin-camp. But please don't go down the Pat route of showing us your cooking too much...
Rather you than me Ant - Your very brave in these cold conditions!!!! Did you get any help / advice from Patrick Dickinson??? It is the kinda stuff he does - Wild Camping!!! He Lives some where near Sheffield🤔🚂🚂🚂
That's inspired me to get out and about its a shame you can't walk the tunnels, love the punk IpA brewdog as well, I am a shareholder in brewdog, have you tried elvis juice?
Well I see that someone has been watching and taking notes from a Mr. Patrick Dickinsons RUclips videos then? 😂😂 Anyway well done for your first try at a wild camp, please keep it up. What about if you were able to and it was safe? What about a wild camp in a disused Railway Tunnel.? Now that would be interesting? Anyway keep up the good work Ant. All the best from. Devon Mike 🚂
I think I was watching him before I even started mine 🤣 it's only taken me 4 years to give it a go. The idea of an overnight tunnel camp I've mulled over a few times
More of these please. Yes
❤
Thanks very much Jeff 🙂

Evening Ant, excellent video. As I write this from a freezing North Norfolk coast I'm thinking that this was made in the autumn and not recently
Hi Russ it was late September. I can't remember the date but I mention it
@@TrekkingExploration morning Ant. Video was just coming to an end when I posted my comment as soon as I posted it you said the date!

Apparently I need to install that myself whilst using the jetboil stove 🤣
Do you have a Jetboil Zip or a Genesis????
