Appreciate your approach - cool to see the difference with Canada. They don't make it easy but fun. Thanks for taking the time to get the $5s and sharing.
I sort of wish banknotes were collected here too, the only types with any premium to them are solids, extreme highs and lows and a few miscelleneous. Even palyndromes aren't considered special.
This is interesting. You're wise to keep small denominations for future happenings. You've reminded me to do so also. Thx! 😉😊 Just wondering where can that book be purchased from?
Most coin shops will carry it. But I bought mine from Lighthouse Canada. If you head over to @CADRoll Hunter's channel, he has a discount code that you can use to get a nice price reduction.
Nice hunt, im still looking for the coins to get for you. It might take a fair while just to let you know 😊, do you want them in 2×2 flips? I was born on September 11th but not in 1930 :(, how can you tell, thats the Canadian note is a replacement? Uhhhhh in the trade we did I got the un charter non colour and the one I already had the colour Alexander graham bell I will still enter but what happens if I do win it I wouldn’t care I’m just curious that’s all
You can send the coins however you like - if they uncirculated, I would prefer them in flips. But there is no obligation! And if you win the GAW we can always chat about what I will send if you already have them... :-0)
I'm glad to see that you promote the collecting of coins and notes...it is an easy hobby for anyone to take up.

I think it would be very cool if they printed a comm $5 note with all the different potraits of QE2 on it

I also check all of my bills for number patterns.
Informative hunt. Has anyone ever come across a "spocked" note?
I've seen pictures online, but I have never found one myself!
I wish that the mint would reinstate the * to easily identify replacement notes.

@EmanuelsWorkbench ok, thanks.
I was at the bank recently and happened to see some pennies and an older paper $5 bill in the teller's till...I was denied.
That's too bad!
I hope you find an older note...
What??? a strap of these and it's the same value as 2,000 quarters?
