One of my drill sgts in basic told another platoon to double time up a hill with their rucks, then directly afterwards he said "QUADRUPLE TIME!!" and i heard yelling behind me as he sprinted up the hill with a full ruck on leaving the entire platoon in the dust and sprinting back asking why they're so slow. Drill sgts are a whole nother breed.

If anyone actually wants the answer to the "GuP question" the top set of numbers is for HE shells and the bottom is for AP, differing shell weights and velocity. In the real sight you cranked it to select a number and that zeroed the center post to that range in meters, not sure if that works in games. Also note that the actual aim point was set as the apex of the center triangle, not within in, not sure if ARMA models that either though. The marks to either side of the center post and the center post itself are in Mils and are to try and help with range estimation. At 1km 1 mil is roughly one meter, the center post is four mils which is roughly "vehicle sized", the others are 2 mils. They can help you keep from making a WILDLY inaccurate range estimate, but there are ultimately so many factors involved (target's true size, angle of observation, elevation or depression from point of observation, etc) that it still basically comes down to the gunner making a good guess based on expereicne.

My grandfather was in the 101st and 82nd airborne. Always makes me happy when people use his platoons as units in games.
