  • Excerpts from a quarter peal, followed by a "Lower in Queens" on this pretty little ground floor six. The church is just 100 yards from Henley in Arden - another ring of six, sadly not visited on this occasion due to time constraints!
Until very recently, the bells were a long unringable three, hung in a medieval frame, and with two bells dating from c1350! Of these three, the middle bell is now the third, and the tenor, cast in 1711, is now the 5th.
In 2012-13, the bells were rehung in a new frame by Taylors lower in the tower. The old treble was retired, and hung in the old frame for chiming. In its stead, four second hand bells were added and tuned around the current medieval third. They handle very nicely, despite a long draught, and are very pretty for an old-style ring (although they do seem to turn rather slowly for 6cwt!).
    Tenor 6-2-12 in B
