Eric Rosen Yes... the chess board is pretty much ingrained in my mind. It helps to have dedicated well over 10,000 hours to the game. I can compare it to visualizing a room in your home. You see/experience it so often that you can visualize it and remember where all the furniture is.

My tip would be to split up the board into the four quadrants and try to visualise each one individually. Do exercises such as moving a knight around a 4x4 quadrant etc.
(Off topic) I haven't seen Eric play the Scandinavian as black. Nothing to do with this video or Eric, but this 12 minute video had 4 breaks for ads. Lol, y’all remember when YT had basically no ads? Maybe after the election it gets dialed down!
That's not fair because his clock is running down while the voice is still saying the previous moves. Ideally the time shouldn't count until the voice has said the move.

The king's starting square can't be attacked, the square he moves to can't be attacked (obviously since you would end the move in check), and the square in between them can't be attacked. It does not matter if the rook is attacked, and in long castling it does not matter if the square next to the rook is attacked.
