Congratulations Ivan! You found pleasure in the journey. One day we all squat our last PR and we have to struggle with that. It looks as though with your mindset you are already prepared. Here’s to, hopefully, the next.
Thank you man. Yeh that last pr is coming for all of us. That’s why we have to have the right mindset. It’s the journey man. That’s where the joy is. Not the destination. Cheers man.
Pain free, 2.5 extra kilos, and another kid. Blessed 2.5 years. I think that people assume progress gets slower every year, but that assumes constant knowledge. We are constantly learning and growing in our understanding of training methods and ourselves. So your most recent year of training might just be your most productive. I know I've had great success towards my goals of hypertrophy in my arms + delts.
Oh man you are so right. That’s kind of what made me smile to be honest when I realised that I did all of that without a single hint of pain. Bloody beautiful.
First thing I though was: He’s staying in his quads. Look at the shin angle. Knees are staying forward and back angle is maintained throughout. I think those shoes have done a little more for your squat than you might realize.
Yeah no doubt the shoes are definitely making a big difference. But also I think it’s important to realise the hack squats that I’ve done recently as well.
Beautiful PR ! You have done it Ivan. And honestly with all the work during last 2.5 years and finding things that work lately i think there is a lot more coming.
I really hope so. I’ll just continue doing what got me here. The main thing is to stay healthy, especially in the hips if I can do that good things will happen.
Incredible mate! I've been watching since high school, and I've since graduated college ... the consistency is still as motivating as ever. Here's to 220 🙌
Congrats Ivan! Many more PR:s to come! Hope you never stop sharing your personal experiences and insights with training, its always a delight to see your videos.
There’s something about doing a single skill/action over and over and over again that is satisfying. Whether the goal is hit or not, the act of mastering the skill becomes the goal. Thats why I now follow you. Much respect brother
Spot on. I think the art of practice is something that I’ve fallen in love with along this journey. Always doing the same thing. Some people think I’m crazy. But for me, I just think that all the greatest people have always done this in various different fields. It makes sense to me.
I have learnt many things from this channel but it is also nice to get confirmation for something I have known for years. Very nice lift and there's many more kilos to come, keep with this quality of repetition. Congratulations! 🎉
My man!!! I'm so Happy!!!! I learnt a lot with your videos these years, you feel like a friend to my already jajajaja. I think your biggest PR IS the number of people you help. Thank you very much Ivan
Oh man, thank you so much for that. It really is amazing to have the support in this community behind me like this. I learn so much as well. It’s not a one-way street at all.
Hey man, this is what its all about. As a writer, I've worked years on things that have been rejected. Then suddently I made it. Got a book published by a reputable publisher. Then I worked years again, failed a few times, then I published a book again. Thing is to keep going, thats where the value is - along side enjoying the process. Its life, man. Cheers for the 215. You worked hard for that. Respect!
Yeah, it doesn’t really matter what we’re doing. When the results are so hard to come by it feels amazing when you finally get there. It’s the journey. The harder the journey the better the destination. Thank you, man.
Congrats man I check in and out busy like yourself with a young family, awesome to see the title and a pr good on you and theres plenty more in the tank
Ivan alrigght! Great to see an upload my man. I changed gyms and have the pleasure of a pendulum squat, hack squat and belt. Stange thing with me is, I can hit big numbers and reps on a pendulum squat but don't have that kind of balance with barbell. All in all it's a journey of progress absolutely. People put on weight they can't loose in 2-3 years. Keep it coming Ivan, watching how smooth that went is just great.
Thank you man. Looks like you have the opposite problem to me. I’m very bad in these machines and better with the barbell. So my weakness is the machines so I have to focus on those machines to bring them up and then hopefully my squat will improve.
I've been watching you since you started mate. I remember you commenting on one of my videos and I subscribed to you. So happy to see you hit a PR! Awesome :)
I felt relieved when i saw this video. Think about that, you feel relieved for someone on the other side of the planet because of a new pr. All i want to say is good work and thanks for making these videos, they make every day a little bit better!
Fuck yes Ivan, I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet and I have no idea where this PR came from but massive congratulations man. You've earned every kg.
Thanks man. The quads have always been weak. It’s nice to finally get some tissue in there. Some hypertrophy. I’ll keep pushing them. Let’s see how big I can get them.
Congrats on the PR! I know its only 2.5kg as you say but it so much more than that, its all the development both mental and physical. Your squat also looks so much more controlled and smooth.
Good job man! I love hack squats, it's my primary accessory to strengthen my squat. Squat being lower rep work, hack squat being more tempo work and 8-12 rep work. It's helped my strength in the squat like crazy personally. Keep at it, looking forward to seeing more PRs in the future!
Thank you, man. I had some doubts about hack squats. Lots of people say it doesn’t translate. But I guess it really depends on how you squat. For me high bar squats are very similar to hack squats. So it makes sense.
@@IvanDjuric300 Probably the squat method yeah, I do a middle-ground between high and low bar but it does wonders for me. But I also use it mostly as an accessory to pause / ATG squats since I squat more like a powerlifter whereas you do it ATG all the time, but I think it's an excellent exercise to strengthen the bottom part almost regardless of squat style if you go deep on the hack and include slow eccentrics / pauses / tempos
Thanks man. I’ve tried dips and I like them as well. For some reason I prefer having my hands in a pronated position. I feel like there’s more chest in that way.
I was out of the loop for quite a minute with your videos, but this got recommended and I felt like proud distant friend that saw his mate got a child or something like that haha. Proud of you!
Grats on the 215 bro ! 5 plates is near 💪💪💪 Btw being pain free is invaluable and proves that you are doing something right. Lots of guys will lift big numbers and be completely broken and will have to take months off or even call it quits... Slow and steady wins the race.
Thanks man. Yeah feeling healthy feeling strong is what it’s all about when I feel healthy. I also feel strong. For me those two go hand-in-hand being in pain is not fun at all. I don’t wanna go there again.
Haven't been here in a while, sorry about that Ivan. But just wanted to say that I'm so glad to hear you're as healthy as ever while hitting PRs that look legitimately easy. Keep working bro! You're still an inspiration to not only me but to everyone who's lives you have affected. Cheers from a long time viewer.

I really think you would see value in sticking your head in the modern powerlifting world a bit.
