I used to do Judo, now I do Kyokushin, this looks so perfect to me. Shame it's not more popular, I'd join a dojo in a heartbeat if there was one close to me.
Very impressed with KUDO can imagine Nippon defense forces must have adopted this discipline Lends very well for military service even the head butting understand its part of the Olympics
Yet no mma fighters rep this style.. let's make taekwongreco!.. silly hybrid styles like that will ensure that u equally suck n ur striking n grappling.. it's silly and honestly stop it. U want to strike..thai box there u go.. wanna grapple? Bjj judo wrestling stop combining styles idiots
Looks similar to Budokai, founded by the late dutch kancho Jon Bluming. He was one of the first students of Masutatsu Oyama and Kanji Kurosaki, and he brought Kyokushin to Europe in 1962. Later he developed Budokai, because he also was a shihan in Judo. Osu, and respect to true Bushido👊
How is that cutting it short? You are right that techniques from those arts are Used in Kudo. You forgot Judo though. But each of those arts specializes in one range of fighting and are designed to work under specific restrictive rule sets. So there are a lot of things that have to be changed , discarded or adapted for multiple range effectiveness. So trying to learn them separately and then combine them into one system that flows through all ranges is actually the long route. I know because that is pretty much what I had to do. If I had done kudo or mma from the start I could have saved a lot of time.
@@jean4j_ Depends on the dojo. Most dojo’s are a bit of a mix of both. My sensei’s dojo was all Muay Thai based striking and some of us competed in both Kudo and Muay Thai.
@@kudoista so it's totally a wrong assumption to say Kudo is kyokushin with grappling/judo then. Well it doesn't have any kata, so I suppose Kudo doesn't have that much strong Karate root after all which is cool by the way lol ☺️ I think I still prefer the kyokushin way (if they allowed head punches) than the muay thai way
@@jean4j_ Yes , it started out as Kyokushin with head punches and Judo but then evolved into something quite unique. incorporating techniques from Muay Thai, Sambo, BJJ, wrestling etc to become a completely new style. Hence the name change from Karate to Kudo. But the Kihon practice and atmosphere of the dojo still has that unmistakable Kyokushin spirit to it. Junior competition is also very similar to Kyokushin knockdown rules but with some throws and clinching allowed. As the kids get older they are gradually introduced to head punching and more grappling techniques.

El kudo salio mucho antes que las mma, creo que fue por el año 81 y las mma salieron como a principio de los 90,esta disciplina se diferencia de las mma porque conserva un estilo tradicional
I wish There were more dojos like this one.

I am DIGGING that guy's mullet, it's fucking POWERFUL.
The first drill was masterfully executed. Could you bring more of these?
Unfortunately I broke my finger while training recently so I won’t be able to do any technical vids for a couple of months. 😓
@@kudoista Wow.
I hope it was nothing serious.
Heal well. Make sure not to rush things
And I am sad now.

Done karate, boxing, kick boxing, and bjj. Perfect Martial art.

Well, step on the Octagón and find out why people started combining
On the vale tudo on Brazil and Beginning of UFC what was effective was exposed to the World.

It seems to be I'm watching Kyokushin. By the way, what a humble dojo you have :)
Yup the creator of this ma was a kyokushine and judokai
Came from Ramsey Dewey’s channel
0:21 Damn, that sequence!
this actually looks like how karate should originally look like, with actual bunkai
Actually Kudo is more Mixed Martial Arts than MMA which is basically Mixed Combat Sports ...
Very good!
Kudo es un deporte maravilloso ,e gustaría saber si en mi país natal Colombia hay escuelas para practicar
Вспоминаю детство

Any new videos ??
How about a video on your personal experiences as a fighter. I would like to know what you have been through Jason-chan
Like. How did you start. What where you looking for. What did you find. How you found and decided for kudo.
Que bom nigei se machuca com voses Deus abénçoe a todos
Really love judo. But never got chance to train it.

What if I cut it short !! Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu = same result

What do you wear inside the gi?
Just a rash guard usually.
@studiokix9274 no protective gear?

What kind of Keikogi do you recommend? Where can I get one?
My thoughts exactly. Must be stronger than a regular karategi but looks much lighter than a judo/bjj gi.

AMAZING SPORT IN RUSSIA: KUDO AND COMBAT SAMBO. ME SOW IN SANKT PETERSBURG 🤝👍
mma with gi and belt?
There is no martial art called "MMA". It could be anything, but usually it's mostly Muay Thai + BJJ. This is pretty much Kyokushin Karate + Judo.
Ver good.
