  • Based on the book of the same name by bestselling author Roberto Saviano, "ZeroZeroZero" is an unforgettable exploration of the inner workings of the global cocaine trade. The Amazon Prime series follows the journey of a massive cocaine shipment from the Mexican cartels handling production to the Italian crime syndicates that distribute it to the American businesses controlling the money the market produces. Series star Andrea Riseborough came to BUILD.

I loved Chris' story. A brutal death was Chris' inevitable fate, but he altered that fate from withering away due to disease to going out like a boss, saying fuck you to his killer and protecting his sister and the family's cargo. His father and sister thought he was too weak for the family business, but in the end he proved himself to be stronger than his father ever was. If you recall, the captain said his dad was the toughest man he ever knew, but eluded to the fact that he ultimately gave up the goods when faced with a pirate's rifle between the eyes. Chris went out on his shield. His father would have been proud, and that's all Chris ever wanted.

In the final scene of ZeroZeroZero, Emma is leaving the mansion of the just-murdered dealer, having calmly sat on a sofa with a bloody, dead body on either side of her while making a deal with the new boss for an upcoming shipment. As she's walking back to the car, with bodies laying everywhere on the ground, she shows a big, confident smile to the armed cartel soldiers she passes, displaying not friendliness, but fearlessness, and that she shouldn't be mistaken for being "merely" a small woman in their eyes. I really loved the Emma character, and also how capable and heroic the character, Chis, her brother slowly dying of Huntington's Disease, came to be. The series is deserving of being watched more than once.

Ehhh this lady's hair is as bad in real life as it was in the series. That was the worst hair do i have ever seen. They must of gone cheap on the costume designer/hairstylist. The Mexican portion of the movie was the only part I thought was decent. This show was only slightly better than Hunters which means I watched the whole thing. Amazon is getting worse with TV here movies

The Mexican scenes refer to the real savagery of Zetas cartel inception and are good but the Italian scenes of the Ndrangetha scenes portrait them in their real total brutality and beyond the suave BS American mafia movies.African part of the story is convincing enough ,especially about framing the story with rampant government corruption. The ISIS part of the story to me the worst but overall a lot better than anything going on TV or movies with this theme right now.

Hahahahaha there will be people that dislike something. However as you stated you watched the whole thing. I don’t know too many people that didn’t watch the whole thing after watching episode 1 so as long as you stayed the course the show did it’s job.

Just finished watching the series and am amazed at the number of people praising this dog’s breakfast of a production.....I thought Andrea Riserborough was a major disappointment with pretty much one deadpan expression throughout.......a less engaging character you’d be hard pressed to encounter. So many initially interesting but unexplained story lines in this 8 episode monstrosity and so much gratuitous violence. If there are more seasons to follow for God’s sake find a decent director and make it tighter and more comprehensible. Great locations, good art direction.....2 stars
