These tips are not only helpful to new dancers or dancers who simply wish to dance at a social level, they are also helpful to competitive dancers as it is always helpful to revisit the basics to ensure you are the best you can be.

WOW, many thanks for your videos, I was competing thirty years ago and at the time they used to say how Latin often changes but Modern as we called it at the time doesn't. Yes I can remember being told to "Invite the lady to come to you" but never as much detail as you both described. We danced in C Grade back then.

5:45 Both arms should connect to the body, especially the left arm/elbow must strongly connect to the body.

8:00, Man's elbow line is in the same height with the shoulder for symmetrical and aesthetic look.
Lady's elbows could be higher for the taller man.

This is great, good job explaining the position. Could I suggest that you not wear black when you demonstrate for video? It's so much easier to see where your two bodies are if you wear lighter colors. Especially for older dancers looking at small screens! Otherwise you are nice to listen to and easy to understand and helpful. Thank you!
