I love you guys! You have such great expressions as you tour around your cabin. And, also, in other videos, you don't hold back your true opinions of what you are experiencing. I truly love watching you for your reactions but even more so the information you impart for my cruising knowledge base for other cruise lines I have not yet experienced.
What a beautiful cabin! 🤩 Agree on the bathroom toiletries, it’s a shame they haven’t partnered with premium brand, for such a premium suite experience. Hope you’re both having amazing time onboard! ☺️
It does seem such a odd choice that they absolutely nail so much of the premium experience and don't scrimp on anything else and yet those in suite toiletries feel like the Rola Cola equivalent 😂 So far it's been an amazing introduction to the Yacht Club experience. Not sure we could go back to the other side of the ship now though. Ha ha ha. Linzi and Mark

Thank you so much Philip. What a fantastic treat for your 30th Anniversary, you are going to love Yacht Club, and with the cruise going to the canaries you should get plenty of chance to use the outside YC deck space and grill too. Have a lovely day, Linzi & Mark

Aww thanks :) It really is a wow cabin. We woke up this morning with the curtains off (it's so private) to a view that looked like it was on a TV screen. The curtains have two layers and you can have either or both on and you have switches to operate them downstairs and at the side of the bed. It's perfect. We will have a lot to say about the cabin in the review later but so far we only have a couple of VERY minor gripes. Linzi and Mark

@Suite Natured That's great, looking forward to it. We've just subscribed so that we can enjoy future videos. It will be interesting to see the different cruises, cabins etc as we are starting out on a similar path with our 'Cruising and Exploring' RUclips channel!
It certainly is. We'd seen other tours of it (most recently @fraseratsea) but seeing in it and staying in it is the most WOW moment we have ever had on any of our cruises. Linzi and Mark
Maybe you could weigh in on a decision I'm trying to make. I currently have a Fantastic veranda booked on Euribia. We've never done YC and I can see pros and cons. But if we moved to YC, I'm turn between this duplex suite and a "standard" YC deluxe veranda. Pros of this one: It's a lot bigger, has a whirlpool tub, and the upstairs bedroom is nice. Cons of this one: Its more expensive, it's not actually in the YC, could be noisier, glass enclosure reduces the feeling of being outdoors when on balcony. Let me know if I've missed anything and what your thoughts are.
Hi Brad, your summary was pretty much spot on. We loved the Duplex Suite but we got it at a bargain upgrade price; however if given the chance again we'd probably save even that bargain money and go for the standard YC deluxe Veranda cabin. It is a great cabin, really spacious and in the YC proper and you can use the Yacht Club whirl pool anytime. Hope this helps. Linzi and Mark
@@SuiteNatured did you upgrade from yacht club to yacht club duplex, or did you upgrade from a non-yacht club cabin? And if it’s not impolite to ask, I’m curious as to what your upgrade price was, but feel free to ignore the question if I’m out of line.
@@SuiteNatured Let me tell you my circumstances, and I'd love to hear your thoughts. The cruise is 6 nights on Euribia to the Fjords. Currently, I have a Fantastica veranda in a good location that I paid roughly $1.900 USD or 1,463 GBP. This booking has no extras, i.e. no wi-fi or drink package, although I did receive the 10% VC discount. I could upgrade to a YC Deluxe Veranda for roughly $4,500 or 3,466 GBP, net of VC discount and a credit of $500 USD or 385 GBP from the travel agent that would be applied to reduce the booking price, . To "move up" to the YC Duplex Suite would run roughly $5,400 or 4,159 GBP. Again, that's inclusive of a VC discount and a rebate of $600 USD or 462 GBP that would be applied directly to the booking. Any thoughts as to what makes the most sense?
Ultimately Brad it really comes down to personal position on them. For less than £2,000 difference for a 6 Nights cruise on Euribia we'd be tempted to upgrade to Yacht Club, but in the Deluxe Veranda, we wouldn't do the duplex as an upgrade from Fantastica as that is much bigger jump for just the room difference. If you would have bought the drinks package and wifi, then the cost difference is even less for the upgrade to YC, and in which case that becomes an easier decision (if it was us).
For a high end suite, they did the bathrooms pretty small similar to an interior suite. Atleast they could have put full size walk in shower in the primary bath
That was our only real moan too. Some friends of ours had the Deluxe Suite with the walk in shower (which we've done a tour of) and it was much better.
wow - proper fancy you two :-) Very nice indeed. I have just received an upgrade e-mail - so, will watch with interest. We used our butler quite a bit on Virgin Voyages, in terms of booking things for us, and they would bring breakfast, make sure we had a meat and cheese platter every afternoon etc. soon got used to it haha. Hi Joe,.no we didn't. It didn't show on the itinerary information, the website or app. We chance that they would be having an elegant night and a white night. They had both. We'd say about 30-50% of passengers take part. Others just dress as normal. Elegant night is the most subjective as their own material says whatever you consider elegant, whether that's a tux and black tie or a fancy pair of jeans and a polo. More were like the later! We loved it, it is a great room, and having the hot tub on the balcony right at the front of the ship was very special. The upstairs space was great too. We can't really comment on having other stay in there with you, as there was just the two of us, but it was so spacious we can't imagine it being a problem.
Normally far more than we’d spend. But MSC has its upgrade auction system. So you can bid (a relatively low amount) to upgrade. This only ended up costing us slightly more than we’d already paid for the Yacht Club deluxe suite, and we bid on it less than two weeks before the cruise. Two days before we were given the option to bid on the Royal Suite for a further £700. We didn’t. But gives you an idea of the costs. Also Yacht Club is very reasonable compared to The Haven (NCL) or The Retreat (Celebrity) at less than half price of those. Linzi and Mark
@@iaindw1 We used it at least twice a day (first thing in a morning and just before bed), and quite often mid-afternoon too. So in short, yep, we used it loads. 🤣

If we'd paid list Steve. It would have been quite expensive. However we bid on the room through the MSC upgrade programme. And a week on here in this cabin cost less than a week in a balcony on Celebrity Edge class ships and far less than Princess Grill on Cunard.

Kate it was very hard to drag ourselves away from there, especially when they keep refilling the mini-bar for free 😂
Thanks for watching, Linzi & Mark
How posh. Only thing I wasn't impressed with was the balcony, I like a proper view of the sea ,it was too enclosed for me. Have a fantastic cruise.
Hi Marcia, thank you and you are right. It's not quite that same balcony feel with the sea view, we've said the same thing since we got on a few times now. However we woke up to the most amazing view from our bed this morning (you'll see it in future videos), It was absolutely stunning.

Must have cost a fortune for that.
If we'd paid list Steve. It would have been quite expensive. However we bid on the room through the MSC upgrade programme. And a week on here in this cabin cost less than a week in a balcony on Celebrity Edge class ships and far less than Princess Grill on Cunard.
