Another good review! This looks like an interesting idea for the #quest3. It’s nice that the fan can work in two different configurations in case someone has a preference. The adjustment knob is a cool design as well.
This is super well designed I don’t know what someone could do to knock this one off the top, maybe a slightly stiffer pad. Other than than, it’s outstanding!

Thank you! I wouldn’t think this would make much of a difference for the Quest 3 heat but it makes a huge difference for the user. I didn’t emphasize enough how cool it keeps your face but it really does a good job! You’re in the drawing!!

You can definitely swap the face cushion for one that suits your needs better. I actually mentioned that in the video but cut it out when editing. When I said it the video felt like I was saying “just buy this one and this one and put them together.” Which would be an enormous waste of money. If you already have a face cushion you like, swap away but there is no reason to go out and buy two different interfaces. The RGEEK cushion is perfectly good and the whole setup is just awesome.

This is our first VR experience and I'm surprised at how hot they can get over summer. The Q3 is amazing to use but it has turned me into a sweaty head. The depth control on the facepad you are reviewing here seems so much better than the flimsy AMVR mechanism, with latches. That is so feeble and difficult to adjust. For the UK we have this option... "Aukuoy Cooling Facial Interface Face Cover for Quest 3:" Same, just branded differently. I am using the KKCOBVR head strap with a 10,000Mah battery. Hopefully this facepad / fan should fit.
VR will cook you!! This is the absolute best depth control I have found. I checked out the Aukuoy version and it is definitely the same. Somewhere there is a manufacturer that produces these for multiple companies. They don’t even change the packaging and may never even have possession of the product. A lot of these “drop ship” companies have poor quality products but not this time. These are very good facial interface/fan systems. I also looked in to the KKCOB head strap and it should fit just fine. KKCOB’s head strap is nearly identical to the BOBOVR Halo straps. Stay tuned to the channel!! I can't include links to the website or the two git sites, YT deletes the post, but it allows Unity based 2D games to be played in VR. Like Hogwarts Legacy etc etc etc.....Supports multiple headsets and scans your games library.

Yeah, this doesn’t help or hurt the Quest as far as overheating. It’s intended to keep the lenses from fogging and/or keep your face cooler. I’ve still never had any Quest overheating issues. You’re in the drawing!! 👍🤞
It does have a goofy look to it. The Quest 3 has such a small curved space on top it really limits options. This definitely functions well though. You’re in!

Yes!! I always forget something. If you have a different cushion you can just swap it out with Velcro!

Just check by taking off the fan and putting the flashlight against the fan slot and not a bit of light came through. 👍👍
